It was a regular winter day, nothing out of the ordinary.School.
Extracurricular activities.
Hangouts.
Homework.
These things repeating over and over again, the same schedule followed.
This is what Park Sunghoon thought was normal, not even thinking about anything else.
He loved this casual lifestyle as if the world just gave him this perfect life.
That is what he thought.
That is what he believed.
But it all soon changed before he could do anything about it.
─⊹⊱❅⊰⊹─
The young black haired boy let out a yawn as he stretched his body, rubbing his eyes as he was awfully exhausted from the many hours of torturous school. He sighed as he put his head on the desk, playing around with his pencil in his right hand as he stared blankly at the teacher. His eyes soon made its way towards this other boy, his brown hair covering his face as he was falling asleep, his head bobbing up and down. He giggled before rolling his eyes, slowly looking out of the windows next to him. The boy watched the fluffy white frozen water drops fall from the sky slowly, landing on the slightly snow-covered ground outside. He smiled to himself as he returned back to listen to his teacher, absolutely loving the way his seat was right next to the windows.
This was the time of the year he loved the most. Where everything is covered in snow, ice, and frost.
It was winter.
Finally, the bell rang and the young boy quickly jumped from his seat. He headed to the already passed out boy shaking him lightly, a bright smile on his face. The brown haired looked up drowsily, being a bit shocked and surprised.
"Heeseung-Hyung, come on. School's done!" The boy cheered, while Heeseung let out a hum of understanding, slowly getting up.
"Okay okay, Sunghoon." He wrapped his arm around the younger's shoulders, letting out a small yawn as they both headed out of the school together.
"So, you told me you wanted to take me somewhere?" Sunghoon looked at the slightly taller, holding onto the little bag that carried his favorite bladed shoes in. The older one nodded, a smile on his face as he glanced at him.
"Yup, I bet you'll love it."
─⊹⊱❅⊰⊹─
"Wow!" The penguin resembling boy exclaimed, running towards the thing that surprised him.
"You wanna try skating?" The person with him asked, a very excited nod was received from the other. Sunghoon went closer, removing his shoes, and quickly putting on the ice skates from his bag. He slowly went onto the place and grinned widely, closing his eyes as he just stood there for a few minutes.
He was on ice.
There in front of him was miles and miles of the frozen water, entirely surrounded by snow covered trees.
It was a frozen lake.
The black haired laughed before pushing himself on the ice, quickly picking up speed so he could do a few tricks and spins. Heeseung watched his friend, a small smile on his face as he watched him fondly, knowing how much the younger loved to skate. The shorter looked back to the other, waving his hands towards him before quickly doing a single axel, hearing an applause from the boy watching him. He giggled before continuing to slide himself on the ice, changing back and forth from both of his feet smoothly. The deer boy decided to go closer, just to see his classmate up close, absolutely mesmerized by the boy's skill. The penguin grinned widely, continuing to get more faster on the frozen water, preparing to do another spin. The elder soon concluded that he wanted to try and join the smaller boy on the ice, probably pushing each other on the slippery surface. As he got on the ice, he slowly stood up, smiling proudly as he didn't fall or stumble. Sunghoon looked towards the other, concern grew on his face as he watched his close friend wave towards him again, scooting farther on the frozen surface. He decided to shrug it off as he went back to focusing on trying to land the little trick he was about to do. The young 18 year old breathed in slowly and exhaled, and then threw himself in the air. As the brown haired saw the other in the air, completely in awe as he saw the boy perfectly doing a triple axle, he forgot to watch his footing and he tripped over a branch on the floor. The supporting friend fell on the ice, his breathing fast as he almost could of broken the ice below him, but thankfully nothing happened.
The skater's heart instantly stopped, catching the glimpse of Heeseung falling as he was on his second spin in air. In these few seconds, it's as if his whole world stopped, his eyes growing big as fear quickly took ahold of him.
"H-Hyung-" Sunghoon yelled, but then he was met with intense pain on his leg and his head, the young boy falling head first onto the sharp ice below him. The high schooler sliding on the fragile surface as he was in too much pain to even move, his eyes being blurred in red as his head hurt too much. The elder of the two quickly ran towards his classmate, going onto his knees as he looked down at the younger in shock, blood was running down the penguin's head, covering his eyes and the right side of his face.
"S-Sunghoon! Y-You-" Suddenly his friend's voice slowly started to become muffled, he couldn't interpret the words coming out of him. The black haired slowly began to move his hand, reaching out for the boy quickly calling someone on his phone, his other hand on the fallen's shoulder.
"H-Heeseung..."
─⊹⊱❅⊰⊹─
A bright light shone down onto a young boy, laying down peacefully on a hospital bed. His eyes closed as he was in a deep slumber, his head was wrapped with a bandage and his left leg was held tightly in a cast. The one who brought him here, was sitting in a chair near the bed, his brown locks falling right as he was asleep with his head hanging sideways, looking terribly tired and exhausted. The black haired soon began to move slightly, his hand being brought up to his forehead as he groaned quietly. He slowly opened his eyes, releasing a shocked gasp, his head frantically looking around as he began to reach out in front of him.
"H-Hello? Is anyone there? Help me please, I-I-" The one next to him quickly woke up and stood next to the bed, holding onto the younger's hands, a worried look on his face.
"S-Sungie, I'm here. Hyung's here, don't worry." Heeseung spoke softly, stroking his fingers on his friend's hands. The skater soon retracted one of his hands to his face, squeezing the other boy's hands, tears falling from his face now as he spoke with his voice shaking.
"H-Heeseung-Hyung..."
"I can't see."
