Chapter 61 ● Starting the scheming ○

After they've finished watching the movie they were watching Calum's friends go back to their homes one after the other. Calum picks up his  phone. I'm going to call Valley he thinks to himself. He goes through his contacts and clicks her name and presses the call button. It rings for a few minutes until she picks up.

"Hi" Calum greets her through the phone. "Hi" she greets him back. "Can you meet me?" He asks her. "Why?" She asks a question back. "I need to discuss something" he answers her. "Alright, where and when?" She agrees to meet him and asks him for more information. "My house and like soon" he replies to her. "Okay, I'll see you then" she responds to him. "See you" he responds cutting the call.

I really hope she'll understand why I need to do this and that she would turn me into a vampire. If she refuses to turn me I have no idea how I'm going to convince Darren to turn me into a vampire. I just want this to work out the way I expected it would in my head. I don't want to have to have a change of plans because that'll be a waste of time. I will do whatever I need to do to become a vampire even if it means I end up being Cade's puppet for a while. Calum thinks to himself.

A few moments later Valley reaches Calum's house. She rings his doorbell. He opens it around two minutes later. "Hi" she greets him. "Hey" he greets back. "So um, what do you want discuss?" She questions him. "Let's go to my room and we'll discuss it there" he replies to her motioning for her to follow him. "Uh, sure" she replies as she follows him to his room.

"I don't think you're going to like my plan but I need to do it" he tells her as they settle in his room. "What's your plan?" She asks him curiously. "I'm going to need you to turn me into a vampire again first" he replies to her. "Not happening, just tell me the plan" she replies back to him. "Fine, I plan on getting into Darren and Cade's minds and torturing them so that they'll know what it feels like and stop doing it" he responds to her. "What?! Are you mad?! I definitely won't be turning you again for that" she responds back.

"Please Valley, listen I need to do this, I can't let someone else go though something like what we've been through" Calum tells her in a frantic tone. "Look you can do your plan, but I'm not turning you into a vampire again, I don't like your plan, all the control you will have over their minds would get to your head and you'll get addicted to it and I don't want that happening, it'll change you in ways I don't even want to imagine" she replies to him in a calm tone. "I've already changed though, I'm not the same person I was before this whole thing started, what harm could it do if I changed more?" He argues with her reply to him. "You might end up becoming what Cade always predicted you'll become; Darren 2.0" she responds to his argument.

"I'll never be like Darren, plus this will only be a one time thing" Calum tells Valley. "You'll say that now, but once you've done it, you'll want to do it again" she replies to him. "So, are you going to turn me or not?!" Calum snaps at her. "I'm sorry Calum I can't do that" she replies the tone of her voice indicating that she's starting to get afraid of him. "Fine! Then get out!" He shouts in reply to her. "Sure, I'll leave and I won't be seeing you anytime soon, you're right you've clearly changed, you're definitely not the same person you were before you got into this mess, bye" she replies to him in an irritated tone of voice. "And whose fault is that? Oh wait it's yours, bye" he replies to her mirroring her irritated tone of voice. She then leaves his house hurriedly and slams his door on the way out.

Well that went worse than I expected... I'm sure she hates me now. I know I've changed since this shit happened but I myself am shocked at the extent. I didn't mean for that outburst to happen. I hate this. I hate myself. Which is a reason why I need to follow through with this scheme. I can't let anyone else go though this and have them barely recognise themselves like I do right now. Time for plan B I guess; I better talk to Darren. I really hope this works. Calum thinks to himself.

"Dare?" Calum calls out to him. "What do you want Calum?" He asks him in an annoyed tone through his thoughts. "I want you to turn me into a vampire again" he answers him. "Never" he replies to him. "Why not?" He questions him. "Heaven knows what you'll do as a vampire when you're not under my control anymore" he answers him. "Oh come on, don't you think it'll be more fun when I'm a vampire again" he replies to him. "Definitely not, you're better off human when I've already turned you once and you've become human again" he replies back to him. "Ugh fine, guess I'm gonna have to find another way" he replies annoyed. He's mad that Darren also refused to turn him into a vampire again.

I guess my only option is Cade; he'll probably refuse to turn me too though. If he does agree he'll probably get Daphne to make me human again and I wouldn't even know about it. OMG! Thinking about Daphne making me human just gave me an idea. I know she has Darren's blood somewhere. I just have to find it. Calum thinks to himself.

Calum then leaves his house and goes to Daphne's house. He rings her doorbell a few times and gets no answer. He then knocks a few times and still gets no answer. He starts getting furious. Then the fury he's feeling takes control over him and he breaks her door down.

Calum enters her house. "Now where does she store all the blood she steals?" He thinks aloud to himself. He goes into her kitchen and starts searching through her cabinets. After a lot of searching he finally finds the blood in her mini fridge. Thank God she labelled them. He thinks to himself. He picks up a vial of blood that's labelled with Darren's name on it. Just then he hears worried screaming.

The screaming comes from Daphne. Calum nearly drops the vial in shock but catches it before he does. She enters her kitchen just as he's about to drink the contents of the vial. "What the hell Calum?!" She shouts at him. He takes a shot of the vial. "I'm sorry but this needs to be done" he replies to her. He then picks up a knife that he found while searching her cabinets and stabs himself in the heart with it.
