Orange snuck about, avoiding anyone she possibly could. Trust nobody, her mind roared. But partner up, her heart cried. She had just about had it, done with all the tension. But it wasn't like she could escape. Unless...death? Surely that would set her free? Heaven did look like a nice place, the way she imagined it. No! she suddenly lashed back at her unreeling thoughts, that casually just kept coming, and coming, and coming

I have a son. Orange glanced down at Son with the fakest smile ever, before getting back to her task. Her task that let her survive...well, survive for a few more days. It was all hopes and prayers, really. There wasn't actually anything you could do except hope your ass up that you wouldn't go to hell.

Son gazed at Orange. His mother. Orange finally completed her fourth task: wiring. "Come on, Son." Orange picked him up when he wouldn't budge. "I'm sorry," she whispered. "This isn't what I planned our life to be like...I promise I'll set us free from this living hell."

Son didn't answer. "Mommy..?" he asked all of a sudden. Orange perked up. "Yes, Son?" He went quiet, then murmured ever so quietly, "Are we going to die...?" Orange wanted to hug him and squeeze him so tight at that moment. Imagine growing up through treachery as such as a murderer living among us. But suddenly, the lights went out...

"Shhh." Orange turned the corner, catching a glimpse of a figure. She went up to it, then let out a little scream as they turned around, which had clearly freaked Son out. But Orange soon sighed in relief. It was her best friend, White. He was usually the one to calm her down when things got crazy. "White!" She whispered in relief. "I thought you were red." Ever since Red had been caught red-handed (ahahah...bruh) next to a body of which he did not report, everybody'd been super suspicious of him. "Orange! Shh, we're still not safe," White replied. In fact, they were never safe. "I'm pretty sure Red's up there...near the lights.."

Orange's breath caught in her throat. The only way he'd be able to screw up the lights, was if he actually went to the room. So obviously, that had made her even more suspicious. "Okay...let's go investigate." As they walked into the room, Red was shaking by a dead body...brown's..."

Orange caught White's bewildered look, and he signaled to listen. Red was whimpering quietly. The lights suddenly flashed red, off, red, off. "I-I'm...so sorry. This didn't have to happen, it's all my fault!" He sobbed next to the body. Orange's stomach shrank. "We need to get out of here. Now." White agreed with the quickest nod, and raced down the hall, Orange and Son following. Orange didn't feel safe with her son following behind, so she briefly picked him up and darted down the hall.

"What's your next task?" White asked, clearly trying to calm the mood. But the mood was never calm. In fact, Orange was always nervous, shaking, and paranoid. However, White seemed to keep that chill vibe...like still water. He was also good at keeping Orange sane. Telling her things were going to line up in the end, and someday we'd be out of here together, happy and forgetting this current, completely awful life.

Just then, someone had called a meeting. Orange and White ran to the cafeteria, spotting Cyan. Soon, everyone was gathered, murmuring questionably, and pondering. Cyan cleared her throat. "Aherm--well, well. Red, would you like to explain how when the lights went out, I saw you already in the there?" she spoke in her prissy bitch voice. She thought she was everything. She thought she was a queen, a badass, but honestly, if Orange was honest, she'd want her dead if she weren't so nice. Orange didn't wish death upon anyone--especially in this terrible place.

Orange realized she was holding White's hand when he squeezed tighter. He was...angry? Maybe he hadn't liked Cyan either. Maybe, he thought she was an annoying bitch, too. "You okay?" she asked. White nodded, still staring at Cyan. "So is anyone going to object?" Black asked, obviously referring to Red. Red was shaking. "What?--No! I swear! I--I...I wouldn't--" Cyan cut him off. "Seems suspicious enough to me."

Every murmured, and it quickly bursted into a fight. "He's obviously innocent!" and "Red's a murderer!" and "Stop yelling you 9 year olds." all came from the crowd. White groaned. "STOP!" he yelled suddenly, which made Orange and Son jump. "This isn't worth it, and we cannot keep fighting, or someone will die innocently! DO YOU WANT THAT?" the group murmured in agreement. "No," Cyan hissed. "But do you want to lose? No. So listen to me! Now!" White and Cyan exchanged a look that seemed as if only they knew something--nobody else did. "Cyan, shut up." White snapped back. "Oh, so the snowman can insult me?" Cyan snickered, clearly amused with herself. "I'd say this cuts the meeting...I'm skipping," Yellow, Orange's other buddy said. They weren't too close, but close enough to where if she betrayed her, she'd probably cry.

"That makes you a bit sus there, Yellow." Lime retorted like a fucking jerk. Yellow was probably grinding her teeth behind that black, void-colored glass. "Why? Because I'm SKIPPING? I'm not. Suspicious." Cyan snorted. "Yeah Yellow's suspicious, too. Come on, I'm voting Yellow." Yellow growled lowly. "It isn't Yellow, guys. Skip!" Green ordered. With that, everyone shrugged it off, surprisingly, and walked away with a successful skip. Orange had seen a couple people voted for Cyan--Purple and Pink. Now, everyone here had a unique personality. The bipolar one, Black. The stupid jerk, Lime. The I'm-the-boss-of-everyone, Cyan. The caring one, White. The fake softie who was always wearing a 'cute' flower and was definitely a hoe, Pink (I mean, isn't that the truth in the actual game though? LMAO). Green, the reasonable detective. Red, the one who acted scared--and if he wasn't the impostor after all (which would be highly unlikely, considering the incident at lighting), then he really was super scared. But so was Orange. She was the paranoid, horrified one, who just wanted this to end.

Brown was the...well, the one who made friends with everyone. He'd always push everyone through this, and...not gonna lie, her heart sank when she saw his dead body. Red was going to pay for his poor decisions.

Heyy! Snappy here. (: I hope you like the book so far! Hey, and have you noticed that all the pictures above each chapter are going to match (for the most part) what's happening? However Yellow didn't have any blood on her suit lmao. Any presumptions on what Orange may do? This is only my first chapter, and I hadn't seen any Among Us fanfictions, but I haven't looked them up either...lmao. I probably should though, to make sure I'm not stealing anyone's idea for a plot. Anywho, just wait for the next chapter! Things are going to get intense.

Sadly only 1178 words :(
