"I've lived for just a moment, but I know everything had a meaning once I met you" '刹那に生きてたけど君と会い
そう全てには意味があることを知ったんだ' (falling' flower Seventeen)

I sing those lyrics daily, and since i live in Japan I await the day my favourite group comes to japan.

My soulmate seems to know the song I sing because he sings when I sing. If only I could speak to him. What happens if and when we meet?

"I'll ask my parents" I say out loud in my car. "I'm already on my way there."

Slowly pulling into my parents driveway, I wonder what would happen if and when I meet my soulmate.

My parents are soulmates and they met just after high school in college. Everyone in my family who's married are soulmates. My parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, my cousins who are married, my older sister and my younger brother.

I'm the only one who hasn't met my soulmate. But I'm just graduating from college I'm sure I'll meet my soulmate soon.

I know there's people out there who have never met their soulmate. But I don't want to be one of those people.

I make my way into my parents house and greet them all. My older sister is here. My younger brother is still in high school. So he's still living with our parents.

Ren hugs me as I enter. Rin my older sister is making tea. It's our last dinner as a whole. Rin is going to the states and dad is going with her.

"Mom, dad, can I ask you guys something?"

Mom turns around, "Sure sweetie!"

Now we're all fluent in English, we only speak Japanese when we're out and about with other people.

"What was it like when you met dad? How did you know you were soulmates?"

"Well it's different for everyone but there's one thing that always happens."

"You hear the same thing, at the same time." My sister says from the kitchen.

"And you will feel the happiest you've ever felt." My brother says as he enters the room.

"But wouldn't it be hard to hear if you hear the same thing? What if you're both hearing something different."

"That won't happen, you'll hear both feel something inside that just lets you know and you'll be able to speak to them until the day ends and that's how you'll find them." My dad says handing out the tea.

"Why are you asking honey?" My mother asks me.

"Well, I'm the only one in the family who hasn't met my soulmate so I just want to know in case I meet them." I stand up and grab the plates.

Dinner is almost ready so I guess I'll skip to when it's all over and I'm at home.

I'm listening to my favourite song again.

"I've lived for just a moment, but I know everything had a meaning once I met you" '刹那に生きてたけど君と会い
そう全てには意味があることを知ったんだ' (falling' flower Seventeen)

But for a moment I hear my soulmate singing with me. I stop and hear his voice. It's the best. I think he realised I stopped singing so he stopped singing.

As the moon rises and the sun sets I climb into bed with some popcorn and get ready to watch a movie.
