Samara Taylor was normal as far as she was concerned, just a normal teenage girl for the most part. So when she moves to Forks, Washington that's when it becomes clear to her Sam is anything but ordinary. Secret will unfold, and the truth will come out.
Having just moved into the house next to her mother's childhood friend, both single parents encouraged their daughters to befriend each other. This helped because both girls would be starting school together the following morning. It was easy for Bella and Sam to become fast friends. Sam's extrovertness was enough to pull the introverted Bella out of her shell but not enough to overwhelm the girl.
When the two start school the next day they get drawn towards the Cullen's. Or rather, Sam gets pulled towards the family while Bella's pushed away at first.
A tidal wave of feelings are crashed onto Samara when she meets Emmett Cullen. At first this scares her, but her curiosity of the boy outweighs the fear of the feelings she gets whatever she's near him.
When a fight between Sam and Jessica causes blood to be shed and necklaces to be ripped, the first secret unravels, and now Sam has to deal with the aftermath that comes with it. Plus the Cullen's own secret.
The once safe world is crumbling around Samara as she learns of the dangers that plague her. And while her world crumbles, there's one boy who seems to be holding the sun above her head, making her days easier and becoming the rock she can anchor herself too before she's lost.
