Song:- Naina. (Khoobsurat)
Life is too short to express what we feel,
Say it before it's too late...********************************
Third POV.
Life has a cruel sense of humor...
Just a few days ago, if someone had told Anaya she'd become the center of everyone's attention, she would've laughed at the absurdity. Never in her life had she been the one in the spotlight — she was the girl in the shadows, the one who watched from afar, who blended in.
But tonight?
Tonight, eyes followed her like she was the sun they couldn't look away from — and it wasn't just the men. The girls too. Jealousy dripped from every corner of the room — whispered insults, sharp glares, fake smiles. Anaya could feel them on her skin like needles.
And all because of him.
The Arjun Rajvansh.
He had danced with her like she was his world, held her like she belonged to him and no one else. His touch had branded her. His eyes... God, those eyes. They burned with something raw — something wild and possessive.
"You have time for everyone, I see..." he whispered in her ear, his voice dark, dangerously low. His grip on her waist tightened. "Did you forget I'm your husband?"
Her breath hitched. The way he was moving their bodies in sync with the music — it felt like a seduction masked as a dance.
His lips brushed her ear again. "So now you have nothing to say? Cat got your tongue? Not so talkative now, are you? Earlier you were laughing, smiling — glowing for the world. But for me? You've got nothing but silence. Am I that unwanted, Mrs. Rajvansh?"
His words struck her like a blade. He was venting — not just anger, but pain.
"Mr. Rajvansh... leave me," she snapped softly, trying to sound indifferent, but her voice trembled. "I have nothing to say. Go to your girlfriend, or whoever she is. She's practically throwing daggers at me with her eyes."
She gestured subtly toward Pinki.
Arjun's lips curved into a dangerous smirk.
"Jealous, are we... Mrs. Rajvansh? Because if you are, you have no idea how much pleasure that gives me."
Her eyes widened, and he leaned closer, his breath teasing her neck. Her skin prickled.
"In your dreams, Mr. Rajvansh. Why would I be jealous? It's your life — you can ruin it however you want. And trust me, I've seen worse." Her mocking laugh carried a hidden wound.
Arjun stiffened. His smirk faded.
So she had seen it. That moment in the office — the moment he thought wouldn't reach her.
"Fuck..." he muttered under his breath.
He had shown her the worst of himself, trying to make her jealous — but ended up proving every fear she had about him.
Well done, Rajvansh. You dug your own grave.
Without warning, Arjun twirled her back into his arms, his hand possessive on her waist. His eyes burned into hers.
"You're mine. That's the only truth that matters."
She blinked at him, stunned. Then whispered with cold finality, "I'm not yours, Mr. Rajvansh. Never was."
And just like that, she broke away from him, a small mocking smile dancing on her lips as she stepped off the stage — leaving him standing alone, the music still playing, but everything inside him suddenly silent.
