The game had ended its first hour half, and the group were celebrating in the tent. Ron and Harry were chanting;
"Krum! Krum! Krum!" While Fred and George were trying their hardest to Irish dance while singing Gibberish in high pitched voices. Alice, Ginny and Hermione were watching them intently, wide-eyed and in hysterics. There was a loud bang and people screaming that only Arthur heard as the others were being incredibly noisy. Arthur had a concerned look on his face, as he decided to have a look outside the tent."There's no one like Krum!" Ron yelled in a deep voice. The twins repeated his name, them too in deep voices.
"Krum?" Asked Fred
"Dumb Krum..." Said George
"...He's like a bird the way he rides the wind!"
The twins started flapping their arms and honking like geese, Fred holding a huge Irish flag. Harry, also in hysterics watching the brothers.
"He's more than an athlete!" Ron carried on his speech.
"Dumb Krum..." The twins said again, as Fred flung his flag onto Ron who pulled it off his face to finish his sentence.
"He's an artist!"
Ginny got up and skipped over to her brother, stroking his back.
"I think your in love Ron!" She sang to him.
"Shut up..." He whispered ignoring his sister.
"Viktor i love you..." Sang George.
"Viktor i do!" Finished his twin. Alice and Harry than joined in with the both of them.
" When we're apart my heart beats only for you!" The three boys and Alice sang to Ron. Suddenly there was another big explosion that could be heard from outside. Growing suspicious, Fred glanced over at the tents entrance."Sounds like the Irish have got their pride on!" Fred said jokingly. Arthur ran back inside and walked straight to Ron and George who were fighting over who got the flag.
"Stop! Stop it!" He growled tearing them apart and turning to Fred.
"It's not the Irish..." He says, a scared look on his face. He runs over to Ginny, the youngest and takes her hand. He calls out to everyone in the tent."We have to get out of here. Now." Fred exchanged a scared look with George, than to Alice who was very confused. All of them exit the tent in one swift motion and start to run the same direction as the rest of the crowd. Everyone around them were screaming and there were loud explosions and bangs all around them.
"Get out! It's the Death Eaters!" One man screamed from a couple meters away. Alice began to feel her heart sink, they were having such a great time... and now their lives were in serious danger.
"Get back to the Port key everyone. And stay together!" Mr Weasley's voice rang over all the others. "Fred, George." He shuffled over to the brothers. "Ginny is your responsibility. Go!" The two red headed boys nod and take Ginny's hands, running with the others. Harry and Alice were still in shock and couldn't move, until Hermione yelled out to them.
"Come on you two let's go!" The two ran behind Hermione, trying their best to catch up with her. All of a sudden everybody could here the Death Eaters chant indistinctly, causing panic for everyone around them. People started running more frantically now, trying to get to their families."Keep up, you lot!" George yelled, protective of his friends. Harry and Alice struggled to get to the group, so much so they were even being pulled further backward.
"Harry, Alice!" Hermione called out to them, unable to see their faces anymore.
"Harry, i'm scared." Alice said frightened , grasping his hand as to stay with him.
"We're going to be alright Alice. Just hold tight, okay?"
"Okay."The two of them soon found out they were getting nowhere by trying to push through the crowd so Harry pulled her away, trying to figure out another path they could take. They ran behind tents and dodged the people around them. The Death Eaters were now casting spells that set fire to many and most of the tents.
"Come on Alice! Keep up!" Harry yelled.
"I'm trying!" She answered back. But suddenly Harry tripped on one of the tents' pegs and fell to the ground with a thud.
"Harry!" Alice panicked while trying to help him up. Then, a group of ten strangers came running past them, not noticing Harry and knocking him unconscious from their quick movements.
"No! Harry!" Alice screamed, shaking his head.
"Wake up, wake up!" She dragged him out of the way and just behind a tent, him in her lap....
Alice was stroking Harry's hair, a tear rolling down her face. The campsite had been completely demolished. Burnt tents stood weakly, smoke still emerging from them. Alice had lost hope, she hadn't seen her friends in an hour and Harry was still unconscious. She suddenly heard someone walking a little further up through the tents. They were kicking the leftover ruins from what used to be a bustling, magical place. Just a couple meters away from them, the man cast a spell into the sky.
"Morsmordre!" He yelled, a green light conjuring from his wand and flying up into the sky, creating a huge skull with a snake emerging from its mouth. Alice pulled up Fred's hoody over her face and shielded Harry as for the man not to notice them. Harry began to slowly open his eyes and looked around, confused and scared.
"Harry! Your awake!" Alice whispered, a little too loudly.
"W-where are we? Where's Ron and Her-?"
"No time for that... shhh." She said looking up at the strange man. It seemed as if he'd heard her as he was now looking in their direction and began walking towards them.
"Quickly! Get up!" She whispered. The two of them struggled to get to their feet but when they did they ran in the opposite direction to the man."Harry! Alice?" A familiar voice called in the distance. It was Ron. "Where are you?"
"Alice!" Called Hermione as well. Alice glanced over to the man, he was gone. He had run away after hearing the voices. Finally, Ron and Hermione ran up to them.
"We've been looking for you two for ages!" Ron exclaimed embracing them.
"We thought we lost you mate!" He said to Harry.
"Are you okay?" Asked Hermione , cupping Alice's face. She shrugged, than hugged her best friend. Harry shot his glance up into the sky, spotting the skull and snake.
"What the fuck is that?" He said. Suddenly his hand slammed to his forehead, his scar all of a sudden began to burn like crazy. Alice looked at him concerned."Stupefy!" Around 8 wizards surrounded them, red lights projecting from all of their wands towards the four of them.
"Duck!" Yelled Hermione, they fell to the ground all embracing one another.
"Stop!" A mans voice called. "That's my son!" Arthur ran over to the four of them as Barty Crouch and a number of other wizards from the Ministry walked over to them, wands outstretched."Alice, Hermione, Ron, Harry, are you alright?" He asked them patting them all on the back.
"We came back for them." Ron informed him.
"Which one of you conjured it?" Crouch asked the four kids, his wand at the ready.
" Crouch. You can't possib-" Arthur started.
"Do not lie!" Barty told the kids. "You've been discovered at the scene of a crime!" He pointed his wand at all of them.
"Crime?" Harry started.
"We haven't done anything!" Alice yelled infuriated.
"Barty, they're just kids." Arthur said sorrowfully.
"What crime?" Harry asked again.
"It's the dark mark Harry. It's 'his' mark.." Hermione explained to him.
"What, Voldemort.?" Alice whispered in a raspy voice. Barty Crouch became unsteady by the sound of his name.
"Those people tonight, in the masks, they're his too aren't they?" Asked Harry. "His followers?"
Arthur nodded his head frantically.
"Yeah." He turned to Crouch. "Death Eaters."
Barty turned to his crew. And started walking away."Follow me!" But before he could be lost in the distance Alice called out to him.
"There was a man, before!" Alice pointed in the direction he had walked off in.
"There!" She stated.
"All of you! This way!" He continued to walk away.
"A man Alice? Who?" Arthur looked between Harry and Alice.
"W-We don't know... we didn't see his face." She said, who had had a better glimpse of him. They all looked up once more into the sky. The skull and the snake were still there, shining a sick green.
