Today was my sister's funeral. She was killed by a drunk driver. She was my only sibling, the oldest out of us both. She was 17 and but only 16.
I am Chloe and my sister's name was Paige. We lived in New Jersey. Ever since her death in December it has had a really big impact on our parents. And of course had a huge impact on me, but I knew there was a cycle of life, and we would have to get over our losses someday. That day decided to be today.

It has been a year since Paige died. I haven't been happy during the Christmas season. My parents made me act happy, because they through this Christmas/New Year party that I just had to attend.
I dressed in this red shimmering dress. It was low cut. The dress went to about my thighs, I found a cute pair of flats in my closet, and curled my yellow hair. I found my make up case and threw stuff on then looked at myself in the mirror. I looked pleasing enough. My mom had given me one of her old masks, and I placed it upon my face. It sat there nicely. Oh, did I mention this was masquerade ball? Well it is!
I walked out of my room, descending the stairs and meeting my mother at the door. She greeted almost everyone who came in the door. After a while I got bored so I walked to the living room and sat down to take a breather, after talking to so many people.
This young girl came in with a flower printed skirt and a plain white shirt. She had only been about 4. She climbed onto the couch and sat with me. Then I heard a voice say,"Are you okay?"
I only looked down at her, it couldn't have been her talking the voice was to grown up. Then I turned my attention to the door way. There was a boy leaning against the frame, tall, black hair, dashing blue eyes, and a cute little smile as I looked at him in awe.
He came over to where I was sitting and picked up the little girl and said,"Katie, why don't you go find your mother and ask her for a snack. It's grown up time, the grown ups need to speak now." The young girl shook her head knowing what he meant. Soon after that she left and it was only him and I sitting on the couch. The first thing he had said to me was, "Hi, my name is Cam."
