'It's so kind of you to let us stay here, mrs. Wasserstein', Anna says. We're having an akward dinner in Josh's house, and we're sleeping here too. 'Well, we have enouth room, as you can see', mrs. Wasserstein says stiff. She is an strict woman, with an old fashioned hair cut and she's always walking with a face that's scares the hell out of you.
A key sounds in the lock and Isla and Josh appear. There holding hands,  looking oh so happy, even tough Isla is as white as snow. Isla is also staying here tonight, probably because she and Josh don't want to leave eachothers sides, now they are finally back together.
'Isla', mrs. Wasserstein says while giving a nod. 'Josh, why are you late? Dinner was ready 20 minutes ago.'
'Mom, are you serious? I just saw my girlfriend after four months and you are whining over 20 minutes.'
Josh's mom ignores him. 'What do you all think about this food?'
I exchange looks with the rest of the group. 'It's super delicous!', Ettiènne says, probably the only one who is kind of enjoying this akward situation.
I see Isla squeeze Josh's hand and then sit down at the table. 'I'm sorry we're late, mrs. Wasserstein.' She's embarassed and Josh's mom is not doing anything to change that. It's clearly making Josh angry.
'Eh... Are you excited for your book presentation tomorrow, Josh?', I ask akwardly.
'Yeah, we're curious about the book!', Lola helps, while she lays her head on my sholder.
Josh is looking angry at his mom, he clearly doesn't want to change the subject, but turns his head to us anyway. 'Yeah I'm curious too, what you all think about it. And hoping that the place won't set fire or something like that.'
We all laugh a little.
'And now I'm going to show Isla my bedroom, because otherwise  she will fall asleep here.' Isla smiles thankful.
'We can also let the girls sleep in one of the guest bedrooms and have the boys in your room', Josh's mom says.
'Mom.'
'Josh.'
'We're all adults.  And we have bedrooms enouth.'
Mrs. Wasserstein stares at him and then nods. 'Alright. But don't do inappropriate things under my roof.'
'Thanks mom', says an already softer Josh.

'Alright, so this will be your room', Josh says, while opening a door. There is an  enourmous double bed in the room. Lola jumps on it  immediately. Josh gives us sheets and pillows and then leaves the room. Lola giggles a little and do the same. We're feeling suddenly mature, while we're making the bed together. We change our clothes and lie under the soft -probably expensive- blankets. I put my arms around Lola and she smiles at me.I love her smile so much.  Is this on of those moments, where Josh and st. Clair talked about? And suddenly the happiness I felt a few seconds ago leaves my body slowly. And only anxiety is left behind.

Kind of an disturbing ending, right? Is there going to be trouble for Cricket and Lola? And what is it with Isla's tiredness lately? Leave all your reactions below, i'm curious what you think! byee! X
