Your POV
"Maddie! It's so nice that your visiting again!" I sit criss crossed on the white expanse of a floor and wave at my friend. She usually visits when I get incredibly bored and her timing is impeccable. She smiles and sits down in front of me. I grin cheekily at her and start whistling to myself. Maddie taps my shoulder and I stop. She takes a look around, calm and collected as usual. "How long has it been since you arrived here?" I shrug my shoulders and look around with her. "I stopped counting the seconds spent here a while ago. It doesn't matter anyway. Time seems irrelevant here." I stand up and spin around with my gray dress billowing out beneath me, opening my arms wide out to the side. "This place is eternal and so am I! I'll spend the rest of my days here," I turn and smile down at her, "with you!"
She shakes her head and sighs, a smile remaining on her face. I sit down again and rock side to side my ragged silver hair waving along with me. Maddie snaps her fingers and gasps. I look at her and tilt my head questioningly. "What was that thing you were trying to remember last time I was here? You said that it felt important." I clap my hands together and start to tell her what I had remembered, but I stop myself. What was it again? I furrow my brows and bring my hands down to the floor, leaning back on them. We both stay silent for a bit. "I can't remember what it was. . ." I think for a few more moments before switching moods. I beam at her and laugh a bit. "Oh well! I'm sure whatever it is will come back to me!"
Maddie nods and points to my face. "Your eye is dripping again." I bring a hand to my face and the faded grayish liquid drips onto my hand. I bring my hand back from my face and flick off the thick goop. Maddie looks at me concerned. "There is more of it than usual."I bring my knees into my chest and rock back and forth again steadily. I brush Maddie's comment off as I feel the goop drip down my face slowly. "It's fine. I'm sure it's nothing." Maddie is about to say something more when someone interrupts her.
"Who are you."
I look over my shoulder in the direction of the strange voice. A skeleton is standing there wearing a knee length white and blue trench coat. It had a fur lining around the hood that was the same piercing blue as on the rest of his outfit. Under the trench coat he is wearing a solid black turtleneck sweater along with black shorts that have small blue flourishes on each leg. On his feet he is wearing black socks as well as blue slippers with little white lines on them. After examining his outfit I focus in on his face. He has a look of interest on his face, but he also gives off a commanding aura of sorts. His teeth are unnaturally blue and ragged black streaks stream down from his eye sockets, permanent black tears that he can never wipe away.
I turn around to fully face him, still sitting on the ground, and smile brightly at him. I wipe some of the grey goop from my eyes and greet the strange skeleton, ignoring his previous statement. "Hi friend! I've never seen you before. Are you a friend of Error's? He passes by here sometimes, but ignores me most of the time. I've tried to introduce him to my friend Maddie multiple times, but he never stops by to say hi. Oh! Speaking of Maddie," I gesture to Maddie who is still sitting with me, "this is my best and only friend Maddie." The skeleton looks at Maddie, but his gaze makes it look as if he is seeing right through her. He approaches me and ignores the introduction of my friend. Just like Error. I pout a bit at this, but I try to brush it off. The skeleton stops in front of me, towering over my small form. I'm sure I would normally be scared of him, but there is something familiar in him that I just can't place. He bends down to my height and repeats his previous question even though with the way he says it, it doesn't sound like a question. His single cold blue eyelight bores into my own eyes with a confidence matched by no one. "Who are you."
