Then the week after that... we had half term. Two weeks of holiday. Usually, Carly went somewhere with her friends for a week and a half and she did that this year too. They all went to Paris, including Louis. So, for two weeks I didn't really do anything. Which was a good thing because I found out my favourite show The Vampire Diaries was coming off Netflix in November. So, I had two weeks and on the last Saturday, which was Halloween night, I had to have finished all eight seasons to say goodbye to the show. Every two days I finished a season. It was Halloween day, around six pm when I finished season Eight. I was in tears during the finale as I didn't want to say goodbye to the show. I quickly wiped my tears and went downstairs. During holidays I had the six to eight shift. Today we were exceptionally busy as it was Halloween. Me and my mum, like every year, went all out with our theme. This year in honour of TVD being taken off Netflix we had a TVD theme. We added red dye to all of our drinks to make them look like blood. We served cold drinks in blood bags and warm drinks in goblets. We put red with black laced table cloth on all of the tables including the bar table. We placed roses on every table too and all of our deserts were made into objects suck as the shape of Elena's necklace or vampire teeth. Because of everyone hating that Netflix was taking it off, the café was packed. I think I served twenty tables every hour but after eight it was the end of my shift. I told my mum I was going upstairs and then left, she would have to work until eleven as it was Halloween night.
I didn't really have anything to do, so I decided to watch some of my favourite scenes again, I know I was a maniac but it was okay. I started with a scene in season one that made me start shipping Damon and Elena. It was the miss mystic falls dance. I had always loved the song All I need, it really suited the dance. That was when I heard the doorbell. I got up confused, there was no way it was my mum, so who was it? I checked the cameras and halted when I saw it was Louis. Wasn't he on holiday? I pressed the microphone button,
"Lou? What are you doing here?" Something was wrong with him. He kept on twirling around and when he heard my voice he looked up in the air and screamed,
"Is that you, God? I am just trying to visit a friend so can you like open the gate." That was when Louis collapsed onto the ground.
I immediately rushed downstairs and opened the door. Louis had fainted and I didn't know what I was going to do. Stop panicking, I told myself, hoping he was okay. I crouched down and checked if he was breathing, he was breathing that was good. Then, I gently leaned his back onto my arm so I could see his face. I gasped as I saw bruise marks on his cheeks and forehead.
"Louis, Louis, can you hear me?" He smiled but his eyes were still closed.
"Yes, mum, don't worry I'll go to bed soon." I sighed in relief, at least he wasn't dead, but he was drunk that was for sure. He opened his eyes and sort of realised that I wasn't his mum. "Ava! Thank god! I didn't know which doorbell was yours! I was here for hours just pressing all of the different buttons and buttons and..." I looked at the wall he was pointing to. It only had one doorbell, which rang to my flat upstairs.
"Okay, here is how it is going to work, I am going to put my arms around your waist and we are going to get up these stairs okay?"
"Hmm." He mumbled as I tried to get him to stand up. Step by step we managed to get up, it took around ten minutes, I kept on stumbling because Louis would let himself fall onto the floor every now and then, which was a nightmare as it was a stair case. When we finally reached the living room I let him collapse onto the floor and I started to make some coffee. I didn't hear him get up but suddenly he was next to me washing some dishes that I had already washed in the first place.
