Rain's POV
Once again I’m back to my computer, but this time I’m still looking for more jobs. I shouldn’t let that one bad experience get to me. After I’m done with the number of applications I sent, I decided to go out for a while.
Doing my usual hygiene I decided on a pair of faded blue jeans and a grey shirt that wrote 'Kick Ass' in bold. I paired it with my Nike slippers and wore my studs. Putting my hair up in a bun, I grabbed my purse and headed out.I walked around the neighborhood taking in my environment, looking around. In was eleven am on a Friday and I decided to go to my favorite café.
It took me five minutes to walk there and when I entered I let out a sigh of satisfaction. Just be entering the café you would be engulf with the smell of coffee and sweet baked goodies. I took a sit at an empty booth waiting to be served.

“Good day rain, haven’t seen you in a while. Would you like your usual?” Jaslam my friend/waitress or should I say friendly waitress said.
“I’ve been busy as always, yes I would like my usual,” I told her giving her a slight smile.
“Oki dokey!” She says and goes to get my order.
Jaslam is what you would call a bubbly person. She’s twenty years old with long brown her and green eyes. She’s been my waitress since I’ve been coming her regularly last year, we bonded over our love for Shakespeare.
Not to long after she comes with my caramel coffeeand sugary buns, I immediately grab my drink taking a sip.
Ahh
After I finished I decided it was time to go home, after promising Jaslam that I would text her later I went to my apartment.
As I reached my door I noticed all my stuff in a box outside my apartment.
Tf?
I take out my keys to open the door but it wasn’t opening, it was as if the locks were changed.Confused as fuck I went to my landlord. After reaching his office I barged in.
“Mr. Faye I think something hap-
“Clay you haven’t paid last month's rent so I had no choice but to evict you,” the grimly old fucker said calling me by my surname.
Taking in a huge breathe to calm myself I said, “I did pay you last month’s rent,”
“When?” He ask in fake confusion.
“Last month,” I gritted out.
“No you didn’t, because I have no record saying that you did and neither do you. I did you a favor and packed your stuff for you, get out now,” He said making me angrier at the second.
Isn’t this illegal!
“This is illegal, I did pay last month’s rent. Even if I didn’t you had know right to go through my personal belongings. Not to mention the fact that you didn’t even give me a notice that I was being evicted!,” I exclaim.
“Ma’am if you don’t have evidence then please leave my building. Unless you have the money to pay last month’s rent, I’ll gladly give you the new keys to your apartment.”
Un- frickin-believable.
I only had one thousand dollars remaining and I wasn’t going to give this man five hundred after I already paid him.If only I had proof to bring to the authorities but when paying him I never got a slip or anything proving payment. Not to mention I’ve been giving him the cash face to face.
Fuck! People can be really evil.
I guess I would have to find somewhere else to stay.
