Egandor woke abruptly.

He had been having nightmares again.

He raised his arms up in the air and stretched. He remembered someone calling his name, and someone placing a hand on his shoulder. Then, the worst thing that could possibly happen, happend. He turned around, and there was no one there!

That may not sound scary, but to Egandor, it felt as if he was awake and it was really hapening. See, these kind of nightmares had been going on since he was three years old.

He hadn't told anyone about it, for fear they would send him away to the Block. The Block is like an asylum, but worse. They tourture you until you tell them whats wrong and then they lock you up until you die. Whats worse is after you die, there are rumors that they grind your body up and mix it with stuff that keeps you from rotting and smelling, and then they feed you to the patients (thats what they call you, but its really more of a prisoner thing), so they dont have to buy food.

Egandor yawned and looked at his alarm clock. It was 5:30 in the morning. He had to be at school at 7:00 am. He pushed away his unreal thoughts about the paranormal dreams he had and decided to get ready for school.

Egandor was a normal 14 year old boy who went to a normal school, and had normal friends. The only thing that was not normal about him, other than his nightmares, was his name. Almost everyone at school teased him and bullied him for it. Even his teachers would laugh when they called roll.

His parents were in the military, so when they wern't gone, they were either moving to a different country, or teaching new recruits in basic training. Egandor hated his life, and the nightmares didn't make it any better.

The only friend Egandor had was a girl named Savannah. They considered each other to be girlfriend and boyfriend, but if anyone asked, they would deny it. Savannah was the same age as Egandor, 14, and she loved science. She was in a Science Olympiad club at their school. She always tried to get Egandor to join it, but he didn't want to.

Savannah was a great friend of Egandor's, but she wasn't around much to talk to him because she had to study for school alot. She was one of those smart people.

By the time Egandor finished getting ready for school it was about 6:00.

He yawned and poured some cereal into a bowl. He didn't pour any milk in it, but he did drink some milk with it.

He was weird like that.

Just as he was about to take a bite of the cereal, his vision blacked out and he fell on the floor, spilling his cereal in the process.

He regained his vision and saw that he was sitting in a dark room, alone. He stood up, and as he stood he heard a loud scratching noise, almost as if claws were scratching a wall. Horrified, recognizing the sound, Egandor turned around to see a -thing- with a mutilated face staring back at him.

To paralyzed to scream, Egandor stared back at the monster. His heart started beating faster and faster. Then in an unreal, raspy voice, the monster said:

"Egandor..." the monster half yelled, half screamed. The monster reached his hand out towards him, and Egandor fainted of fear.
