Days Within Melancholy

Isn't it funny how life could just turn upside down within a few moments. How it could just switch in the matter of seconds and be all over? The people you knew your family and friends gone in a heartbeat.

I'm going to tell you a story about how the human race seized to exist.

My name is Jake and like every Friday last period i have RE (religious education) siting down at the back of the classroom my head on my desk pondering on how i could possibly make this hour go faster. I see my Friends making it into the classroom sitting down and just start chatting, so me being the little twat i am i start eavesdropping.

"Hey Christine why did all the teachers suddenly rush us to our classes do early" i look up to see Alice, Christine, Robert and Connor sitting facing each other on a table. Each one of them looking even more confused as the next.

Christine just shakes her head. "How the hell am i suppose to know? anyway wheres miss Thomas strutted off to?" at that point all 5 of us look towards the front of the class room expecting miss Thomas to wonder in the door at any moment but alas 5 minutes passed and she didn't turn up.

 "I bet shes gone off to sing again at the year 7's" all four of them laugh as though it was a personal joke no one else could know. At this point it was all ready 20 minuets into the lesson me still with my head on the desk i feel someone give me a pat on the shoulder. I look up to see Nicoli smiling "umm are you ok Jake?" i give her a expression as if to say "nope schools getting me down" and she just responds with a "oh come sit with us".

So i get up and walk over to where Christine and everyone was now sitting and began to converse. "so anyone feel like ditching school because miss Thomas is obviously not going to show up." I stand up walk towards the door  and check if there is any teachers lurking outside. 

The 5 of them looking at me with a dazzed expresion i spin around with a cheeky grin on my face "lets do this shit."
