Chapter 12: Getting Back On My Feet

When I got to my mothers she gave me a hug. We both started to cry. I just want Maddie back. "Everything will be alright." My mother said very upset. "No it won't..." We stopped hugging and I went to my old bedroom to go unpack my clothes. My father had left when I was 4 so I never see him.

Tonight I couldn't sleep at all. I was afraid that Jake would come hurt me again. I was worried about Maddie. At 2:15am, mother came in and said she couldn't sleep either. She made us some tea and we were up all night. I told her everything that has been happening for the past 2 months. She was very scared and she felt really bad for me. "Will she remember me?" "Of course she will sweets. I promise." Mother started to get tears in her eyes and so did I. I cried myself to sleep and I didn't sleep to well. I woke up with s note on my table reading:"I am always here mother. No need to worry about me. I am worried about you. -Maddie"
