chapter 5: college

-the next day-

i woke up to an alarm at 7am, i dont usually wake up this early and saw that it was monday, my eyes widened and i jumped out of bed "MY FIRST DAY AT COLLEGE!!" i got ready and tried to look extra good today, i opened my closet and took a lot of time making an appropriate outfit.

i was really proud of my outfit and since i was running out of time from all the time i took to find clothes i just grabbed an apple and went on my merry way, my college was only a few blocks from the apartment i was on so it was an easy walk there. once i got to the front i saw so many students going in, anxiety started kicking in and i paused, i pulled myself to go in the building, and i did it but my heart beating so fast and it felt like an anvil to my lungs, i could barely breathe. i got in the massive hallways and looked around to familiarize the place trying to stay calm, when i couldnt take the pressure i rushed to the restroom, it was close to the entrance so it was easy to find. i went into the stalls and took slow deep breathes, it was like the world was spinning so i just closed my eyes and remembered all my favorite and happy memories, usually the 'happy thoughts' that would go into my head were childhood memories, but this time they were tommy and i laughing, i calmed down after a few minutes then suddenly *DING*

he really likes calling me dickhead huh, well anyway, now to find my class, i walked out of the stall to see someone there, "oh hello" a girl said in a joyful voice, "hello" forcing a smile on my cheeks. she stared at me for a few seconds and asked with a raspy voice "are you okay?" i was confused at first then realized that i just had a panick attack a few minutes ago. "huh o-oh yeah, im fine" she didnt look convinced but gave me a warm smile anyway. "im michelle by the way" "oh im y/n" her eyes widened and her eyebrows rose "y/n as in y/u/n?! the streamer?!!" well shit she knows me "yeah..yeah im y/u/n...." i said scartching the back of my neck. "DUDE! youre so cool i love your videos" i flustered "aw thanks!" i was relieved she didnt freak out like those superfans that would yell and scream while youre just standing there, "no problem! also, i know this place like its my home since my dad is the headmaster of the college, i can help you out if you want" "YEA!! id like that! thank you so much" well good to know i can make friends, we stood there for awhile with a cold and awkward atmosphere surrounding the wind. "so uh whats your schedule?" i took out my phone and checked "oh uh business is first." "oh mine is accounting, cmon lets go ill lead you to the lecture room." i followed behind her as my head was looking all over the place. once we got to the classroom she pointed to the seats "there you can sit anywhere youd like." "oh yeah, thanks again michelle" "you can call me mj" she said with a smile, after then she said bye and left. i sat in the 5th row and after a few minutes the class started.

-time skip-

our second class had just ended as i looked at my phone to see the time when someone bumped into me causing my phone to fall. "o-oh im sorry i should have looked where i was going" a deep voice said. as they were handing my back my phone i looked up to see a brunette, blue eyed boy, his eyes were as pretty as the ocean and without me knowing i got lost in his eyes, it was so innocent like it was like the whole world reflected on them, i was stupidly mesmerized. "hey you okay?" calling me out, "oh! oh sorry" why do i keep embarrassing myself?? he chuckled "its fine sorry about that by the way" "huh- o- oh its fine" as i put my hand behind my neck. "well ill see you later" he walked away leaving me just standing there. he was pretty. i looked at my phone and it was 11am! so its lunch i guess, i just followed the crowd of students going to the cafeteria. i got my food and looked around to find a good seat but every one of them i tried to go near the tables to be able to talk with students but i got too nervous, guess im sitting alone then. as i walked to an empty seat "HEY! Y/N! OVER HERE" i looked at my right to see mj calling out to me. i smiled and started blushing as i looked at her warm grin. i walked over and sat infront of her. "hey mj" "you know you can always sit with me if youre lonely right?" "hhuh ye...ah.." as my hands were shaking on the table, she looked down to see my trembling hands and held it. my world froze and i could feel my heart sink, my cheeks heating up, could i- NO! y/n stop it. my world starting moving again and she was still holding my hand. she pulled away her hand as a boy came and put his hand on her shoulder, i looked over to see the same guy that bumped into me "AYYYY HEY MJ-" he paused as he looked at me. "and- the short girl i bumped into right?" "y-yeah" i looked away smiling. he sat beside her, "im ruben by the way" he said, "oh im y/n" so i was guessing they were together? "so when have you guys been together?" my stupidity asked. they both looked at me and looked at eachother then back at me. "NO WE ARE JUST FRIENDS!" they both said. "oh- oh im sorry i thought-" they both laughed and i forced a laugh with them.

-time skip after school-

today wasnt actually that bad the lectures were surprisingly easy and atleast i made two friends. as i was walking home i heard my phone ring, "tommy?" i asked myself, i answered it and he was also walking "tommy? where are you?" "going home from the market, mother asked me to buy some stuff, are you done with college by the way ive been dying to talk to youu!!" i blushed and smiled as the phrase "ive been dying to talk to you" crossed my mind. i was smiling like an idiot not realizing my phone infront of me and tommy could easily see me smiling, i looked at him and he was smiling shaking his head he looked away still grinning, it was quiet. "well ive been dying to talk to you too, buttt we both have to die a little more, ill call you back when im at home, bye child" he pulled out the middle finger with a smirk as he ended the call. something about tommy, he made me feel....unreal, something no one has ever made me feel..am i catching feelings for tommy-" i shook my head and continued to talk to my apartment. i got to the elevator and went to my floor, i opened the door and took off my shoes. i didnt even change and i already went to my pc to talk to tommy, "HEY LAD!" i expressed how excited i was to talk to him. we just talked as he played minecraft and i was on my phone. i didnt stream today since i only stream 4 days a week, wednesday, friday, saturday, and sunday all of my freetime. i went on twitter and tiktok repeatedly and i accidentally clicked on an instagram notification while i was refreshing my fyp. i saw the post and it was an edit of me and tommy being a duo, the comments were saying how cool we were and how we were so funny. i smiled and liked the edit. me and tommy's call was silent. "do you have a boyfriend" my eyebrows rose and my eyes widened to the screen. why would he ask that? "why would you want to know weatherboy" i said with chuckle, he rolled his eyes while smiling. "shush up woman" we both laughed. "hmm well if i said i did have a boyfriend what would you do" his smile slowly turned into a frown. "id congratulate him" "for what" "for being luck- i mean because for being so cool" i felt butterflies in my stomach "are you trying to seduce my non-existent boyfriend tommyinnit?!" he laughed and paused "non-existent?" "duh of course im single" he smiled and blushed, "well so am i" we both laughed knowing we were flirting but too scared to admit it. we just giggled it away and continued talking, after 3 hours we ended the call. i got changed to some comfortable clothes and laid in bed with a relief. my body facing upwards i started daydreaming. how angelic it would be to finally find the person. how it feels to be loved bye another person they would give you the world. i closed my eyes still imagining about the beautiful life i could live someday, after some time i drifted off to sleep.
