"Ali is the cake ready yet?" Asks enthusiasly a 7 years old boy, Max. His round doe eyes and cute smile makes Alisa melt like chocolate. With smile she turns to him and says in a soft voice "No max. But it will be soon. You have to wait."

"Ok!" Says Max cheerfully before storming off the kitchen. Alisa couldn't help but smile at him. He never likes to stay still for a second. It's the fifth time he came to Alisa and asks her if the cake is ready yet. But what is the cake for? Well it's for the person who is making the cake. Yes, today is Alisa's 18th birthday and she wants to celebrate it with the kids of the orphanage she lives. It's been eight years since her parents died in a car accident and she is left alone in this cruel world alone. She didn't have much relatives but what's the point of having relatives who doesn't helps you when you need them most. Alisa can still remember the day when all of her relatives kick her out after her parents funeral. If it wasn't for her uncle she wouldn't have been here. Her uncle couldn't take her in because he was having some financial problem at that time. So all he did was leaving a 10 years old girl in this orphanage. She never thought she would be able to get out from the trauma of her parents death. But the love and affection of the kind warden/ nanny of this orphanage, she soon forget about her parents death. About her relatives betrayal. Now she is happy to be able to live in here and take care of these poor children of this orphanage.

Though last week was a most horrible memory of her life. She never thought she would be able to escape from her overprotective, manipulative, possessive and obsessive boyfriend. He was every little thing that is said here. Alisa wasn't interested in this relationship from the begin with. It was one sided love or attraction from the beginning. But she couldn't said no to him. Either because she was scared or because she didn't know how to reject people. After her parents death she was scared about most of the thing. From loud noise to scary kids. She didn't talk that much to anyone though the warden/ nanny Ms. Harper told her to interact with people. But she just couldn't. And that's what caught Vern's eyes. He was obsessed over her from the very beginning when she was only ten years old and came to this orphanage for the first time. He was thirteen years old at that time. And first time when he laid his eyes on her something snapped in him and he found himself drowning for her. As the days went his obsession over her grows more and more. Just watching her from afar wasn't enough. Only listening to her voice wasn't enough. He wanted to go to her and talk to her. Play with her and spend time with her. And that's what he did. He approached to her very slowly so that she wouldn't know his true intentions. He hid his dark side and showed her a loving and caring side which Alisa fall for very easily. She was an easy target.

Alisa liked to play with him. Talk to him and spend time with him. He made her laugh. After her parents death he was the first person to care for her. And she easily fall for him. No he didn't fall in love with him. She just used to think him as her big brother since they live in same orphanage. But Vern didn't like it. Not even a little bit. He wanted her to see him the way he sees her. But no matter what he says she didn't understand. She was so naive. She couldn't understand his emotions and that made him angry. So he needed to show her what he thinks of her. He needed to made her see him as a man not a brother. So he did something that he shouldn't do. Or he tried to. He was caught in the process and before he could do anything to her everyone caught him and kick him out of the orphanage. Alisa thought that would be the last time she would see him. She was upset. She didn't understand what he was going to do with her. She was so naive that when he said her it was a game so she didn't protest. So when he was kick out of the orphanage and send to the mental asylum, she cried. She actually cried for him. Nobody could make the innocent child understand that what he was about to do her was horrible. So they just let her cry her eyes out. They were at least happy that they saved a poor child from a horrible future. But all of their happiness fade away when he came back with new dirty tactics after a few years later.
