My name is Wynter and this is a recap of the day before my entire life changed.

"Wynter! Come play this game with me!" My best friend and roommate, Mark, yelled at me. I jumped up off the couch and joined him in the recording room. He was a youtuber and I was frequently on his channel.
"What are we playing, goober." I said calling him the stupidest nickname I could come up with. He fake scowled at me and I stuck my tongue out at him. He chuckled and I blushed slightly. It was no big deal. I had only been in love with him for 3 years. I was good at hiding it by this point. "I'm not sure what its called but its a ghost game. We are playing with Bob and Wade." I nodded and slipped into my computer chair which was right in front of him, making it so that I could see him all the time.
"We are recording in 5, 4, 3..." For 2 and 1 he only held up fingers. His intro was ridiculously loud and goofy and I couldn't help but smile. It was just like him. Mark was gorgeous. I admired his face as he did his intro. His golden pools of honey for eyes. His luscious lips and sexy stubble. They were all overly enticing for me. Mark watched me as he did his intro and through my headphones, I heard the others join the game.
"Sup Fuckers!" Bob yelled and I laughed as Mark jumped a little. I don't know how he gets scared every time, Bob does that every other time we play together.
"God, Bob!" He yelled and I laughed. Mark stuck his tongue out at me as I laughed at him.
"Ok, Bob, Mark, Lets just get to the game." Wade said. We loaded up the game but that is all I remember until I woke up in an abandoned field. I had an empty backpack and something that had the words survival knife floating above it when I looked at it. I looked around.
"MARK!? MARK?" I yelled. He sat up and weirdly enough he had an empty backpack and a survival knife as well. I could see his face over the tall grass.
"Oh my God, Mark where are we?" I said pulling him up to his feet and into a hug. Suddenly, Bob and Wade popped out of the grass with the same equipment as us. Only Wade's backpack wasn't empty.
"Hey guys... This looks exactly like the beginner stage of the video game we were about to play." Wade said. Wade was the only one of us that had played the game before.
"Holy shit." I said in a half whispered voice. Only Mark heard.
"What? Wynter, what is it."
"Mark I think we are in the game." I said, looking into his eyes, a smile was scarce to be seen.
"What? No. That's ridiculous. No way." He said shaking his head. I shook my head back at him.
"No Mark. Wade is the only one who had played this before. And his backpack is the only one that isn't empty. He has things from his characters inventory." I thought of a way to prove it.
"Hey Wade!" I yelled across the field. He looked over in response.
"What did you have in you pack in the game?" I asked.
"I dont know, um, a flashlight, a few flares, and a map of the area." He said. I grabbed his pack and opened it finding everything he listed.
"Guys! We are in the game." I said. We all looked around at each other. This was bad. This is some kind of horror game about ghosts. The only goal was to survive and find out which kind of ghost we were hunting and I've seen Wade play this game. More often than not, One of us dies. I wasn't willing to lose Mark. It just wasn't happening.
"Okay first things first. Find the safe house and get to it." We all started running. Mark grabbed my hand to make sure I could keep up. I had problems with my lungs that prevented me from running like other people. I could keep up for a little bit but after like 30 seconds of running I was hacking and coughing and if I continued I would start coughing up blood. Mark knew this.
"If I need to I will carry you on my back, dont try to be a hero. I'm not losing you." He said. I smiled during the hectic time.
"I'm not losing you either, Mark." He smiled back at me and we ran for a little while longer before I started coughing. Mark never slowed while taking me and flinging me onto his back. He was athletic and worked out a ton. Im sure I was barely anything to him, seeing that I only weighed around a hundred pounds.
"Are you sure you're okay?" I asked Mark.
"Yeah, I'm fine Wynter. Are you okay?" He asked. I replied with the obvious answer and we kept going until I caught my breath again. I jumped off of Marks back and continued to run.
"Hey i think that's it." Wade yelled. We continued to run until we approached the building. It had a computer and places to put pictures. This is gonna be strange.
