Mine

One

I was awoken by the sound of my mom screaming my name. I winced and covered my ears, just to hear another yell.
"Wren! You're going to be late for school if you don't hurry! You're supposed to be up by now!"
I groaned and lay there for a couple minutes. It was only the first week of school and I was already ready to jump off a bridge. High school is not anything special like I used to think. The only difference is your classes get harder, your friends take different paths, and it's really really crowded. I rolled off my bed landing hard on the floor, and slowly stood up rubbing my sleep deprived eyes. I walked into the bathroom and started getting ready.

The bus slowly pulled up to the school and I looked out my window. There were people scattered everywhere, and some huddled in groups. I got up and made my way to the front of the bus, and stepped off.
"OMG WRENN!!!!!!!!"
I was startled by my name and looked up to see my best friend Blair running to me. I hadn't seen her since school started and she had been traveling the world all summer. I smiled and embraced her hug. We sat there in silence for a couple minutes until she finally released and took a step back, looking at me up and down.
" look at you! I know it's only been a few months, but wow!"
I smiled shyly and gave her another quick hug before we started walking to the door. We talked about the most random things, about summer, boys,family, life. I missed having Blair around. Atleast one thing stayed the same this year. Mine and Blairs friend ship.
