Journal Entry: January 13, 2015 1:30pm
There is exactly six more days until Spring semester begins and I can not be anymore nervous about it. I know I’ve been going to school my whole life but, going into what could be my last semester of college freaks me out. Every single class I take I have to pass or I won’t graduate. That’s a shit ton of pressure on me and it’s what scares me the most. I just hope I can stay focused this time around. I do not want another repeat of my sophomore year. Never again am I missing out on a summer getaway because I have to take summer classes to protect my GPA. I could go on and on about this but I'm tired of the sun so I’ll write to you tomorrow.
Your POV
I closed my journal, and looked out onto the field where all the athletes were running around the track or doing some type of exercises. I don’t know what it is about sitting out on the football field but it always soothed me to write out my feelings. I'm a huge football fan no matter what team or what scale I love it. I guess it comes from always watching it with my grandfather when I was younger, who knows. I start to pack up my stuff when I noticed this girl coming towards me. She is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. Pale skin, wavy raven hair, kissable lips and eyes as beautiful as emeralds. She was wearing shorts and a sports bra and had headphones covering her ears. She must be on one of the sports teams. I watched as she ran up and down the bleachers as if it was the easiest thing she’s ever done. Next thing you know I was beside her catching her before she fell. I don’t even remember moving, but here I was with this beautiful vixen in my arms staring up at me. “Uhm are you okay?” The vixen just started to cry and instantly I felt bad for her. Does my breath stink or did I hurt her? I slowly started to walk over to one of the bleachers, I helped her sit down and I just sat there waiting to see if she would calm down. I slowly studied her features, her abs were heaving up and down, while sweat and tears fell from her face. I noticed that she had a tattoo peeking out from behind her neck but I couldn’t quite make it out. There was something about this girl that I just couldn’t put my finger on. Her breathing started to slow down and she looked over at me. “Uhhm thanks for catching me.” She breathed out between sniffles. “No problem, I was glad to help a pretty girl like you.” Where did this confidence come from? “Oh that’s sweet. Sometimes when I'm upset I tend to come out here and do steps to take my mind off of things and I can get a bit carried away.” The vixen bit her lip and wiped her face with a towel. “I'm Lauren by the way” I stretched out my hand “Nice to meet you Lauren. I’m Y/N” Lauren took my hand and shook it , then looked up into my eyes. Oh man her eyes. They were filled with so many different shades of green and a little bit of gold. I couldn’t look away no matter how hard I wanted to I just was mesmerized by their beauty. We fell into easy conversation about what makes us feel better. I was getting lost in her eyes again until my phone went off that our staring contest finally ended.
Wifey<3: Hey. Where are you?
Y/n: I'm at the school. Leaving soon. See you in a bit.
Wifey<3: Kkz Love ya.
I’ve never have been embarrassed by calling my best friend Hazel wifey. I mean we’ve been inseparable since as long as I can remember. Even the people we dated knew how we were with one another. But knowing that Lauren was so close to me and could definitely see my phone. I couldn’t help but regret calling her that and putting it in my contacts. I typed my response and saw that Lauren was halfway down the bleachers “Lauren! Wait.” She turned around abruptly, the look on her face made my stomach turn.”What do you want?” All of a sudden the California sun didn’t feel so warm anymore. Lauren’s face was cold and emotionless. My guess was correct she had seen my phone. “I..uh I would like to see you again.” Her eyes turned a dark shade of green, she walked right up to me and slapped me hard. I grabbed my cheek and watched her run away. Like the idiot I am I let her walk away just like that.

I was now back in my apartment listening to Hazel go on and on about her plan to get her boyfriend to propose to her before we graduate. I was half listening due to Lauren still being on my mind. “Y/n are you even listening to me right now?” “Uh not really. Sorry Haze I'm just thinking about that girl from earlier.” Hazel walked over to my couch and handed me a glass of wine and put her legs in my lap. “Alright, we can talk about Operation Get Engaged later. You really like her huh?” “ I barely even know her Haze. When I was with her though even if it was just a few minutes, something inside of me was just drawn to her.” I took a sip from my glass and swished it around my mouth before swallowing it. “What if she doesn’t even go to our school? What if I never see her again?” “Woah there. Calm down crazy. I'm pretty sure you will see her again she was running at our track field. Plus you said she ran off towards the dorms. I'm sure you’ll bump into each other again. The question is what are you going to do when you see her?” I closed my eyes and tried to think about what I would do if I ever ran into Lauren again.

Me and Hazel spent the whole night figuring out how I would possibly get to know Lauren more. After bottles of wine we had finally devised a plan that I'm sure will work. Now here I am back on the bleachers patiently waiting to see if I’ll get another glimpse of her. I'm here 30 minutes earlier than I was yesterday because I'm overly excited for this to play out. Now I know what you are thinking what if she doesn’t show up what am I going to do? Well I’ll let you know if that happens.
2:30pm
The sun is starting to make me tired and I'm getting a little hungry. I wish I would’ve packed a snack. Oh shit! I totally forgot that I saw Lauren talking to one of the soccer players yesterday before she ran the stairs. I’ve got to talk to that girl and find out where Lauren is.
Your POV
I ripped out one of the pages in my journal and wrote a quick note and my phone number to give to the girl. She was standing off to the side, she was taller than Lauren and had blond hair. Her jersey said her last name was Hansen, I walked over to her and tapped her on the shoulder. “Yo what up dawg?” “I...uhh..I was wondering if you could give this to Lauren for me.” She looked me up and down and took the piece of paper from me and started to read it. I was fidgeting with my hands as I waited for her to finish. “Oh so you’re the girl who made Lauren upset yesterday.” “I guess and I feel terrible about it. I'm just trying to make things right between us. She left before I got to explain anything.” She grabbed me by the shirt “What do you want with Lauren huh? Don’t you have a wifey already.” I gulped at her force on me and went on the explain about Hazel and what happened. She let go of my shirt and smoothed it out on my chest. “I'm sorry about that. I was about to give you a poly beatdown. My name’s Dinah by the way.” I shook her hand smiled back at her. “Look I'm Lauren’s best friend and I’ll help you see her again. Under one condition.” “I’ll do anything” Dinah smiled at and nodded “You have to be patient with her, she’s not too big on her sexuality yet.” I knew exactly what Dinah meant, I myself have no idea what I consider myself to be. “Dinah you have my word. I’ll be as patient as possible with her. I really just want to get to know her. So will you give it to her?” “Yeah I’ll give it to her Y/n” She gave me a high five and walked away.
