Tsubaki Sawabe's POV
For a few days there were only pain all across my body, and to merely open my eyes was already a struggle, much less to move and speak. Tubes and machines were my only lifeline, and a lot of voices inside my head were call me to just give up already, but another voice called for me to keep going...
"...Thank God she wakes up..."
"...How do we suppose to tell her?..."
"Where am I? Tell me!" I cried out.
The two older men and two women with roughly the same age as the former had their eyes and mouth wide open in amazement.
"The medications are working so far!" Her tears flowed incredibly, followed by the rest of her colleagues.
I looked at the woman who had just exclaimed, as she turned to face me
"Call me Dr. Uchida. Uchida Maaya."
"Where am I?" I asked, again. "Am I in a hospital?"
"Yes, Tsubaki-chan," she answered me. "You are safe, when you are ready, we will tell you everything that happened."
I whimpered again.
"Keizo... Michiko... ... I saw them... in my dreams."
Once again, she smiled at me. She also dried my tears. "Shhh.... that's okay"

Watari Ryota's POV
Few days later
I have to be thankful to Tsubaki's mother, Nana Sawabe who kept her optimism in face of the loss of her daughter; my girlfriend, even if I sometimes want to give up after months of her being taken from me. That means she had also reminded me of my vow of loyalty and when police finally found her and Kashiwagi's whereabouts, they sent me the location where I could visit her.
In the private hospital room where she and Kashiwagi were treated, under police protection, everybody hoped that she will soon be back with us, particularly me. But her state was so much that she was too different with Tsubaki that I know and love. Her mother has been there before me in vigil, the 66 years old woman that was supposed to enjoy life was now facing her biggest trial ever since her husband Akihiro; Tsubaki's father, passed away two years ago due to a stroke.
There were more surprises came, the first and the most important thing was that both Tsubaki and Kashiwagi were pregnant. I remembered how much Saito was a mess upon hearing the news, but being a cop, he managed to compose himself for sake of her, which means that I have to do so for Tsubaki. Acceptance without questioning, while it took time, was the only way to move forward.
I have to juggle between my visit to hospital and my work. Thankfully, Nana Sawabe routinely gave me updates.
"Hello, Watari."
"Kousei." I had just glad to be back to my apartment when suddenly my phone rung, which turned out to be from Kousei.
"I have some time before my scheduled concert, but I have to be quick... How's Tsubaki and Kashiwagi right now?"
"Still the same, buddy..."
"I promise you, I'll take my time off and be there in Japan, Emi had asked me about that as well."
