Isabelle knew Simon and her still had to "DTR" as Clary had put it, Isabelle knew very clearly now how she felt towards the mundane, he wasn't a mundane anymore she was more than aware of that, but he had been when he met him, he had been when she fell for him. So there was a little part of her that still clutched to the mundane Simon. However, if it wasn't for the way he was now muscular he would still be the same mundane, he was still sassy, and -at least in her opinion- weirdly good looking.
But there was still some kind of akwardness between them, they tried to ignore it but it was always nagging at them, Simon didn't remember all of her, he had only dreamt about her, thats why he had recognized her at Jocelyn and Luke's wedding.
He wasn't that good of a cook though, but given the fact that he had accepted Isabelle's soup and not complained the first time he was at the institute, she would do the same for him this time; sit quietly and swollow down the food whole, trying not to taste it, he was after all, trying to take care of me.
After eating, they sat soundlessly on the couch by the fire, where church was snoring loudly. Thats when he turned to her and said, "ive been having....weird flashbacks latley"
"What do you mean flashbacks?"
"Well i'm not sure if they are, but I constatly see and hear things I can't quite explain"
Could he be talking about the weird voices? Isabelle thought, but would not dare say so.
"What are you talking about Simon?" She asked instead.
"I think someone...perhaps many of them are trying to contact me...so far ive only made out one name..."
At the confused look she shot him he sighed and turned to look at her.
"Gideon Lightwood" he said.
