Salem woke up with a slight head ache, not looking forward to the day ahead of him. Pulling himself out of bed and heading to his small bathroom connected to his bedroom. He shakily grabbed a comb and ran it through his messy hair, only making it poof up even more. Huffing in frustration he splashed some water onto it and quickly brushed his teeth. Looking in the mirror he sighed at his appearance as he did everyday. He hated how pale he was, how small he was, and most of his freakish red eyes.
Salem had always been bullied for them, as people called him a freak. Some where afraid and most where just hateful. School had never been a fun place for him.. Today wasn't going to be any different. Looking at the time he quickly grabbed his bag and ran out the door.
Entering the student courtyard, he looked around to make sure no one was coming to sneak up on him. And thankfully no one was there. A bit relived he walked over to a tree and sat down, and pulled out his earbuds to listen to music. A hand grabs him and pulls him to his feet, his eyes widening already knowing who it was.
"Morning freak? You missed our meeting last night, it sure does piss me off." Chris, his bully, grinned down at the smaller male. "I-I'm sorry.. I g-got busy and-" Chris cut him off with a tisk. "Damn Salem. Excuses get you no where in life, I'm only trying to help you see that a freak like you won't get anywhere without me and the boys." Chris's smile only grew in amusement. Salem hated that smile. It made him almost shake in his shoes.
Salem was cut off from his train of thought, as Chris let out a low growl. Salem looked up at the taller male in complete fear. Chris was practically seething in anger, pulling up his fist ready to strike Salem. Until suddenly...
"So quick to violence.." A unknown voice spoke. Salem opened his eyes seeing the scene before him. A taller woman had Chris's fist restrained above his head. She had to be at least 6ft tall and the heels she wore only added to her height. She had pale skin, short blue hair in the back and long bangs that came down to her waist in the front. What was most alarming about her was her almost piercing Icey blue eyes.
"And who the hell are you?!" Chris almost yelled at the mysterious woman. "That is not information I need to enlighten you with." She let out a low seemingly animalistic growl and twisted Chris's arm back that he winced in pain. "Now I strongly advice you use whatever brain cells you have left, and scram before I snap your pitiful arm in two." She twisting it a bit back more before letting him go and allowing him to fall on his ass. Salem tried to keep back the laugh that was almost heard from him.
With that Chris scattered off and was out of sight. The taller woman turned to Salem, having to look down. "Are you alright small one?" She spoke, her tone now calm and collected. "I-I'm fine.. T-thank you." He let out a small smile. "May I have your name?" She slightly bent down to meet his eyes. "I'm Salem." The taller woman's eyes slightly seemed to glow.. Or was it just the sun? "My name is Inseci Roty." She put her hand out to shake. Salem happily accepted, Inseci giving a tight grip showing respect. "It's a pleasure to meet you Salem Williams." Wait.. Howd she know his last name?
[The bell rings]
"Well Salem. We should get to class. I shall see you around." And with that the taller female walked away, standing out from the crowd. Salem walked to class fazed by the whole situation.
Who was she?
