Y/n's POV:
Dating Draco in secret was hard. It sucked not being able to hold his hand or even kiss him in public, let alone in the common room. No one and I mean absolutely no one knew we had been together for a while.
At first this whole secret this was fun, it was cute when we should catch each other stare at one another and then go on about our day pretending we didn't speak. And when we would meet up in the Astronomy Tower after curfew was the best. We would talk for hours, cuddle each other, and kiss each other. It was amazing.
Although not being able to be seen together was fun and all, it made me sort of sad. I really loved Draco and it made me sad not being able to show everyone we were truly together. I knew if people found out the Slytherin prince was dating me: a half-blood, it would cause talk. Especially because the Malfoy's valued blood purity and my mother wasn't even a witch.
I found it quite odd when Draco first began to talk to me. Well not talk, more like send me secret letters and eventually confessed it was him when we first met up in the tower. He told me kind things that made my heart flutter. And he even thought I'd be disappointed to know it was him, who was my secret admirer. He thought I would have hated him because he talked so proudly about his family, just to like me.
All the things he thought he should follow because of his family didn't matter to him anymore. He told me I was worth it, but it would have to be a secret. And I completely understood, if his parents were to find out he was dating a half-blood, they would probably disown him.

Currently it was Potions class with Slughorn. I had an assigned seat next to Harry, which I didn't mind. He might not have been the smartest, but he was always helpful. I also didn't care he was a Gryffindor, houses didn't determine if they were a great person.
Draco did hate that I was partners with Harry. He complained to me saying he was going to tell Slughorn to switch seats, so he could be my partner. It was cute how jealous he would get.

Professor Slughorn had instructed the class to make the potion of Amortentia. A potion of what the person is smelling and what attracts them the most.
Everyone grabbed the ingredients and cauldron and began the potion. "I'll get the pepper mint and you get the rose thorns?" I asked Harry and he nodded with a small smile. We went towards the cabinets getting everything for the potion, so we could successfully succeed and receive points for their house.
We came back to our desk and started the potion, using Harry's book. I appreciated Harry as a potions partner. With his book we learned new ways to cut the ingredients that were much more helpful than the textbook.
"No don't cut the thorns, crush them instead, see?" Harry told me as he passed me the book. I smiled at him, "Oh yeah, you're right thanks Potter." He gave me a small nod while blushing slightly.
I always knew Harry had a small crush on me and it was adorable how much he blushed around me. But I was with Draco, and I wasn't interested in Harry in that way. He was just really nice and I liked him more as a friend. I glanced quickly at Draco, who was already staring at us. I continued the potion trying to forget Draco staring daggers at Harry.
"Alright we just need the pepper mint and I believe we're done." I told him and he nodded. He threw in the pepper mints and began to stir the potion until it was the right color of pink.
I raised my hand once the potion was finished, so Slughorn could see it. He came towards Harry and I and examined the potion. "Amazing! Perfect! 10 points to your houses!" He smiled at us. Harry and I hi-fived each other. "Now go on and smell, tell me what you smell." Slughorn told us.
