Hello, hello. Now before you go hating , please read this before shitting on me because I don't like your "wholesome best girl".
1. Nanami is, in fact, a Mary Sue. I say it like this, because people will beg to differ. She's literally done nothing wrong, or even anything that wasn't correct. Everything she said ended up being right, and not to mention the fact that they COULD HAVE broken this by ACTUALLY making her a "bad traitor". Just because Future Foundation is good doesn't mean she had to be a part of it. She could've been from a different orginization (I don't think I spelled that right) entirely, made out to be a bad guy, or at least not a perfect person, and I would've liked her a lot more. She also has no flaws besides "falls asleep alot", "blindly trusting people", and "plays games 24/7". Speaking of those flaws, they can't even really be considered flaws! There's nothing truely wrong with any of those. She even became class rep... Again, after being fully known for o n e d a y. I just don't understand. There was no reason whatsoever for her to be, but she did! And EVERYONE accepted it!
2. She's boring. Nanami has no personality. She doesn't even have a backstory. Name some of her personality traits. Nice... That's basically it. She's a nice person, and that's literally it.
3. Everyone, and I mean everyone likes her. In the game/anime I mean. Going back to her death before the Neo World Program, people like Kuzuryuu and Saionji cried over her death... Even Pekoyama... After only acknowledging her existence in a day. A DAY. Everyone loved her IN A DAY. I know anime is usually fast with building relationships, but this is way too fast. Not to mention Kuzuryuu and Pekoyama have most likely seen and killed multiple people. Whether they cared about them or not. After knowing this bitch for literally a day they're in tears over her death. She's truly done absolutely nothing for anyone either, besides helping Komaeda when he got shot (which I'm sure literally all of them would do besides maybe Saionji. MAYBE.)
4. Her and Hinata's relationship seems to be forced onto you... Now, this is not just because I ship Komahina, if you're going to put a relationship into something that has almost nothing to do with relationships, you are going to experience some backlash. I'm not saying that they're canon, but it seems like it's trying to say "Hinata likes Nanami" and vice versa. I'm not saying not to ship who you ship. I also hate when (again not in a situation that calls for a relationship) a character x character relationship seems forced onto you when it's not even canon.
5. Did I mention that she has no backstory? This is very similar to her being boring, but like... Why doesn't she have a backstory? Why does she like games? Why does she have absolutely no personality defining characteristics? This is especially concerning since all she thought about while she was dying was Hinata. What about her family? Does she have none? Does she not care for them? I highly doubt she was abused.
6. She's way too popular. Again, not saying you can't like her, but like... She's a fan favorite. A boring ass chatacter... More boring than fucking Hagakure! Yamada too! Sayaka! Tsumugi (not at the end) ! HOW CAN YOU GET MORE BORING THAN THEM?? Why is a fucking boring ass no characteristic character more popular than like.. Ryouma, Ishimaru, Kirigiri, Tanaka... Why is she more popular than them!? At least they have a personality, even if they're not likeable (which I love all 4 of them btw). She's like... Kokichi popular. Not as much liked, but nearly there. Kokichi is crazy popular, and even though I love him, it's annoying how popular he is. Same for Nanami. She's annoying popular...
Anyway, that's it. That's all I have to say. As a fellow dumbass, I can not think of anything else to say. But I do agree on this person with almost everything they criticized.
It's 30 minutes, so maybe you don't have to watch the whole thing. But I completely agree on almost everything said in this video.
