The date was October 28th, 2020. Ruth Harper [Sweet Pumpkin] woke up that morning to find her sisters Halle [Halloween] and Paige [Pumpkin Dream] eating breakfast.
Pumpkin Dream: Hey, there's the birthday girl.
Halloween: Happy birthday, Ruth.
Sweet Pumpkin: Thanks, Halle. Thanks, Paige. I'm so excited for Halloween!
Pumpkin Dream: Me too. Also, Halloween is my and Halle's birthday. So, we'll have a double celebration.
Halloween: Yeah.
Sweet Pumpkin: We've already decorated for the occasion.
Halloween: Don't we leave these decorations up all year?
Pumpkin Dream: Yep.
Suddenly, Ruth's phone buzzed. She took it out and looked at the message.
Halloween: Who messaged you?
Sweet Pumpkin: It's Ciel. He gave me a happy birthday message. I'm sure you remember him.
Pumpkin Dream: I do. He comes to our house with his family every year.
Halloween: But Ciel has been in Negi Root City for only a few years, right?
Pumpkin Dream: I know that.
Sweet Pumpkin: I thought he hates Halloween.
Halloween: Does he?
Pumpkin Dream: I'm sure there's an explanation on why he would dislike Halloween.
Sweet Pumpkin: Well, then again, he's a kid with heart issues.
Halloween: And he's a big scaredy-cat.
Pumpkin Dream: I remember last year, a guy named Parry Robinson [Punkish] scared him so badly that he got a heart attack.
Sweet Pumpkin: Aw, poor guy.
Halloween: Well, why does he come to our house if he's just going to get scared?
Pumpkin Dream: Why else? For the candy! That's why every kid comes to our house for.
Halloween: I guess.
Ruth was looking out the window.
Sweet Pumpkin: Look, girls. Majokko Himekawa [Witch Style] from across the street has her decorations put up already.
Paige and Halle also looked out the window.
Halloween: I thought she was in jail because she was an accomplice in the first killing game?
Sweet Pumpkin: She was released last month. I guess for good behavior.
Halloween: Oh.
And so, the girls continued on with their day.
