Chapter 6

I fucked up. I fucked up badly and there's nothing I can do about it but deal with what's about to happen.  I slept with Rachel. Okay okay I wasn't looking to sleep with her but she caught me off guard. When Salem kicked me out her apartment I went home and went straight into the shower to wash up and Rachel got in the shower behind me. Was I supposed to just say no when she already had my dick down her throat? I also won't say that I didn't miss her body because I'll be lying if I did. When Salem asked me if I still loved Rachel I should have lied but what good would that have done? Okay truth moment here I like Salem I do but I don't think I would ever want to be in a relationship with her. She doesn't know how to be a grown up and I don't want to be trying to teach her how to be one. I heard her parents and she told me stories about them basically handing everything to her. She never worked a day in her life and she doesn't know the value of money. Also I'm not looking for a relationship right now anyways and if I was it wouldn't be with a spoiled brat like Salem. At least that's what I keep telling myself as I laid in bed with Rachel in my arms. I'm almost positive that Salem heard us but I won't know until I see her. I got out my bed and walked into the living room and saw Malcom sleeping on my couch.
"The hell are you doing here?" I asked getting ready to make me some coffee. I need to grade some papers and put together my lesson plan for next week. I'm also hungry but I don't want to cook.
"Salem kicked me out of her apartment. She came into Tori's room hysterically crying"
I stopped what I was doing and looked at him. Fuck she heard us didn't she. I slid on my slippers and walked towards my brother.
"Why was she crying?" I asked
"Because her parents cut her off and she was going on about how men ain't shit."
"She said men ain't shit?"
"Yeah." Malcom said fixing him a cup of coffee.
Fuck! I put my mug down and walked to her door. The door was unlocked so I barged into her house and immediately went searching for her. I don't know why but I feel like I need to explain myself with her. I walked into her room and she wasn't there so next I went inside Tori's room. I saw Salem sleep in Tori's arm and Tori rocking her and kissing her on top of her head. If I didn't know any better it looks like Tori has a thing for Salem. Tori saw me staring at Salem and rolled her eyes.
"Leave." Tori said through gritted teeth.
"I need to talk to squirt." I said
"She doesn't want to talk to you."
"Well I want to talk to her!" I yelled
Salem jumped in her sleep then turned to see what the noise was. Once she saw me she just looked pissed off. She got up out the bed and walked towards me.
"What do you want?" Salem asked
"I need to talk to you."
"Okay. Talk."
I looked up at Tori and then back to her. I grabbed Salem's hand and pulled her towards her room so we can't talk privately. I closed her door and opened my mouth to say something but nothing came out. My mind went blank and I didn't know what I was trying to say in the first place.
"Talk!" Salem yelled
"I'm sorry."
"Why? What could you possibly be sorry for. Oh maybe it's because I heard you this morning not even three hours after having sex with me? Is it because it's obvious that your not over Raven and here I am being stupid. Is it because you are a fuck boy? Huh what is it Xzavier?". Salem was fuming she was walking back and forth huffing and puffing. She stopped and looked at me when I didn't answer. I still don't know what to say to her.
"I'm sorry squirt I really am."
"You're sorry!! We share a fucking wall and all you have to say is that you're sorry! You didn't even have the decency to do it somewhere else so I wouldn't hear you! I hate you! I don't want shit else to do with you!!! GET THE FUCK OUT!!" Salem said
"But-" I tried to grab her but she backed up away from me. She started hitting me and cussing me out to death. I tried to stop her but those little slaps hurt. I backed up from her but she kept walking to me and I ended up getting cornered. She continued to hit me and I just sat there and accepted my faith at this moment. I started chuckling to myself and thinking about how the hell did I end up getting beat up by a midget. I looked up at her and just smiled. I do like her I actually like her a lot. She's sexy when she's mad.I got up off the floor and finally caught her hands and threw her on the bed.
"Get the fuck off of me!"
"No." I said
"I need to finish kicking your ass." Salem said. I couldn't help myself so so just started laughing at her and that she got her over the edge. She squirmed up under me kicking her legs and cursing under her breath.
"I like you squirt. I like you a lot baby." I said
"ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME! Why are you like this?" Salem screamed
I put my lips over hers to stop her from screaming but she just screamed in my mouth. I inserted my tongue and she finally stopped screaming at me. I kissed her like my life depended on it. I really can't shake this girl I like her a lot. Once Salem calmed down she moved away from me and just sat on her bed with her knees to her chest.
"Why did you do it?" She whispered
"I don't know it just happened. I still do have feelings for her but I don't know what to about her. I'm stuck." I admitted
"Get back with her."
"What?"
"I said get back with her. You don't like me like that but you love her so I say get back with Raven." Salem said
"Rachel. And are you sure? You want me to try again with her?" I asked
"Yeah. I'm positive." Salem said looking me in the eyes. I couldn't read her expressions I couldn't tell if she was testing me or not but now I was thinking too.
"Why?"
"Because you obviously still love her and we can just be friends okay." Salem said barely above a whisper.
"No." I said grabbing her face. I kissed her again and she pulled away from me slapping me again. I don't understand I know she likes me too. I understand that I fucked up but she didn't have to do this.
"Go Xzavier. Go home to her I'll see you tomorrow." She said opening her room door for me.
"Tomorrow?" I asked
"I'm having a party with people in the building around my age of course and some friends. Bring Rachel she's invited too. I'm sure me and her can be friends too don't you think?" Salem said
Fuck no. If all honesty I wouldn't want Salem around Rachel at all.
"I'll see if I can come. I gotta go do some paperwork bye." I said. I leaned down to kiss her but she walked away from me. I closed her door and saw Tori standing at the island in their kitchen. Once she saw me she instantly walked up to me and pushed up on me.
"You stay away from her!" Tori yelled
"Man if you don't go away. I gotta go."
"Leave her alone I won't say it again! You hurt me now you hurt her! You are a piece of shit who likes to use women. You ever gonna tell her the real reason why Rachel left you at the alter or should I?"
I was going to walk away but same old Tori always wanna bring up shit that doesn't involve her. I can't fucking stand her ass I'm glad I broke it off with her ass when I did.
"Why you want me to leave her alone for? So you can be with her."
"What?!" Tori said
"You don't think I see the way you handle her and the way you care for her? You jealous and I know you have a crush on her. Or do you want me? Hell maybe you want us both i mean I'm sure you could have asked and we could have had a threesome." I said
Tori charged at me to hit me but I quickly moved out of the way making her slip on the ground. I laughed at her and walked towards the door to leave. As if things couldn't get any worse the moment I opened their door to leave Rachel was standing out there waiting for me.
"I knew I would find you in there. Had to go sleep with her again?" Rachel asked
"I didn't have sex with that girl. They are cool girls I actually went over there and ate breakfast Salem is a good cook" i said. I never had their cooking before so I don't know if they could even cook at all. I walked up to Rachel and kissed her cheek. I opened my door and Salem was walking out her apartment looking at Rachel.
"Hey I was just coming over here to talk to you." Salem said to Rachel.
"Where you?" Rachel asked
"Yeah I'm having a party and I would love for y'all to come. Especially you Rachel I would like to get to know you better."
"Of course we will come and I can't wait to talk to you personally as well. What time should we be here?"
"9 pm." Salem said
"Okay good we will be here. Right bear?" Rachel asked and looking at me.
"Y-yeah." I said
They gave each other these fake ass smiles and just glared at each other. I looked at Salem and then she looked up at me. Her face unreadable before she turned back around and walked back into her apartment. I turned and walked inside with Rachel right behind me.
"Tell me the truth you slept with her didn't you!" Rachel screamed
I didn't feel like explaining anything to her so I just grabbed her face and kissed her.
"Stay with me. Permanently don't leave me again." I said
"Bear you serious you want to work on us again? I mean I know I left but you scared me."  Rachel said bringing up the thing I said to her before she left me.
"I know I'm sorry i was exaggerating. I didn't think you were actually going to leave me."
"I'm sorry bear. I can make it up to you. I promise I can."
"Good. You can make it up to me right now." I said
I picked her up making her squeal and took her into my room. I'm only doing this because Salem said she wanted me back with Rachel. I'm doing this for her so she can come to her senses the moment Salem says she wants me I'm kicking Rachel to the curb. I know dick move I could just make Rachel leave and make Salem fall in love with me but it's not gonna happen like that apparently. But whatever. Only doing this for my little annoying neighbor.
