"Come here child, let me tell you a story.
It is not a simple bed-time fairy tale, though I daresay. It is history, and when I say history, I do not mean those old goofs writing down whatever fables told by the winners. This, my dear, is a truth passed down, and you must pass it down, too.
Long long ago, there was a kingdom. The people were happy there, they had a wise ruler. But Alas! For the king himself wasn't blessed! His companion, the Queen, was obsessed with beauty.
You may think it is not something to worry over, but her obsession resulted three newborn children's death, for they weren't beautiful enough. Soon, the king became worried for a heir, and pleaded to the queen to stop her madness. And soon, the queen gave birth to a beautiful little daughter, with her snow-like pale skin, hair as black as ebony, rose-colored lips and eyes as dark as the darkness, she was like a night flower. The king was overjoyed. But little did he know the price, for the maniac queen made a deal with the devil to give birth to a child as beautiful and everlasting as a goddess. And every deal with devil carried the curse.
The child became the bearer of the curse. To live and keep being beautiful, she had to drink human's blood. With inhumane beauty, the poor girl became inhumane as well.
Snow White, the first vampire.
the queen, blinded by her daughter's beauty, kept doing whatever she could to preserve her beauty. And her men started hunting the citizens to quench the bloodthirst of the child. The king, unable to neither stop nor tolerate, called forth a wise wizard. The wizard hid herself and started her research. She used her magic mirror of truth for assistance. But soon the queen found out the king's plans. Outraged, she stabbed him, ending in his death. The wizard stepped up and used her spell. The queen was petrified, and Snow White, realizing the situation's graveness, ran away to the dark forest behind the castle.
the wizard reluctantly took over the role as the ruler. But she continued her search for Snow White in secret. She sent hunters after hunters, but they all went missing, for the dark forest was a place which is impossible to come back from. But the mirror of truth showed her where Snow White hid, deep inside the forest, in the hut of seven weak and naïve dwarves. Drunk on her beauty and soft words, they provided her shelter, and unknowingly, provided her food. Every night, Snow white would feast on their blood and slowly steal away their life force. But since there were seven of them, she was able to make her sin go unnoticed.
Soon, the magician found a way. She took blood from the petrified queen, the contractor of the curse. She went through great lengths to find the demon who forged the curse, and retrieved a drop of his blood. Then she performed ancient magic and fused them to a poison. She then poisoned an apple, and went to find Snow white, taking the disguise of an old hag.
As she had the help of magic, she was able to survive the forest. Soon she reached the cottage of the seven dwarves. She found the young girl and offered her the apple. Though she may be an immortal, Snow White was nothing more than a sheltered princess just a few months ago. Her sense of danger was not yet honed enough. So she did not question further and took the apple.
One bite, and she collapsed.
The magician went back, satisfied that she was able to end the monster. But little did she know, that Snow White was more powerful than that! She had the devil's blood flowing within her! Alas! She was never the king's daughter! The queen fooled him! She was never even half a human! So the poison only weakened her, drowning her into an eternal slumber.
The dwarves came back, only to find their precious gem fallen, deep in sleep. They called her, tried to wake her up in any possible way. Finally they gave up and mourned. They crafted a beautiful glass coffin and laid her down. Then they proceeded to bury her. As they marched, they crossed path with a prince from the country at the end of the dark forest. The foolish prince, like many other foolish men, fell for her beauty at once. He claimed her body, and offered a huge amount of gold in return. The dwarves refused. This led to argument, which soon turned into a fight between the dwarves and the Prince's men. They tried to take the coffin by force, and it fell. The bump made her spit out the piece of apple stuck in her throat. Free of the poison, she woke up.
Everyone halted at her beauty. And she, bewildered with bloodthirst, barely controlling herself, stood. The prince offered her his hand, and she gladly took it. For he has strong, healthy soldiers with him who would easily quench her bloodlust.
She slowly started to let go of her naivety and used anyone she could to gain whatever she wanted. On their way back to the kingdom, three of the seven escorts disappeared mysteriously after feeling weak for days, and only she who knew faked mourning. Snow White became an existence solely representing evil. What she sought was neither power nor wealth. It was human lives and lives only. She sucked away the life force of the kingdom and fled.
Years passed, Snow White lived. She became an existence representing death. It was her beauty that reminded her prays how beautiful death truly is, as they breathed their last. And to the living, she reminded that true beauty is terror, chaos. That beauty is never soft and warm like the spring breeze, true beauty is like a hurricane.
She still lives to this days. roaming around and feeding of the leftovers of war, famine, and disasters. Years of experience made her more intelligent and cunning. She now hides herself in the shadows. But when she was much inexperienced, she often revealed herself by accident, resulting the myth of the vampire. She took advantage of the rumor as well. She faked her weaknesses, like silver or holy water. Only we, the descendants of the wise wizard know that, and even now to these days, search around for a way to defeat her. It was discovered that her lifespan comes from the contracted devil himself. That, even if she stops drinking blood, she will live, but powerless, her beauty fading away and herself drowning in misery. So perhaps, if we can find the devil and kill him, Snow White will die with him. But that devil is yet to be found.
So listen, my dear. One day, you will join the hunt too. And if God blesses you, may be it will be you who ends Snow White, the one vampire.
Now sleep. May you have a peaceful night."
