Whilst the Lightborn squad and Gusion are discussing the matter of their new mission, Vespid enters the room by the balcony.
"Have you found him?" Gusion asks.
"Emperor, Hanzo and his team returned to Iga town after the war," Vespid reports.
The Lightborn squad, who manages to finally see Angela up close, cannot take their eyes off of her. They are still in doubt if Angela is truly a mechanical doll. They are thinking that she is simply a young mage dressed up just to look like half human and half machina. Vespid returns the stare and she couldn't process the information of what they are thinking or how she should respond to them.
"The stupidity plastered on your faces helps me recover at a faster pace. Continue looking like that," Gusion snickers, making the other team collect their senses back. He, then, returns his attention to Vespid and states, "You're dismissed for now. You can go and visit Dr. Baker but be sure to return tomorrow. You will be going to Iga town."
Vespid bids her goodbye before leaving. Tigreal, then, asks for the reason why he is sending their team's support to a distant town alone. Not only that it is a dangerous and risky thing to do but Angela might not return in one piece. She may be a well-developed machina but there is no guarantee that she'll be 100% safe.
"Unlike you, general, I trust my members," Gusion smirks which earns him a scowling face from the general.
For the Lightborn squad leader, it is not all about the matter of trust but the matter of safety. It is okay for his members to think that he does not trust them 100% rather than lose one of them, that's that. If he is to send his members on a mission, he would be sending a pair instead of only one.
Just when their meeting is about to finish, Rafaela barges in with her eyebrows almost meeting at the center of her forehead. Her glares are directed right at Gusion who simply returned a nod. The healer of the SABER squad didn't want to heal the man responsible for her and her team's downfall during the war. She may not be herself during that time but still, she is a person who holds grudges for a longer bit of time. Not to mention, Saber has taken quite a damage from fighting against the VENOM Emperor.
"I have come to heal... Paxley as per the order of the Swan Princess," she states with gritted teeth. Whoever sees her at that moment, they'd think that the order given to her is simply against her will.
Gusion, who could see right through her, smiles at her and says, "You are free to refuse though."
Rafaela almost explodes at his comment. Everyone in the room sympathizes with Rafaela since they know how annoying Gusion is. But his fast recovery would be a good thing for their plans to be taken into action as soon as possible. It took an hour for Rafaela to fully heal Gusion's wounds and also vent out her frustration from time to time. With the serum stabilizing the effect of the exousia in his body, Rafaela manages to repair the damage he has taken from the war as well as the excess toll that the exousia caused.
"This will be the last time I will do this! Next time, I'll watcha die and the last laugh shall be mine!" Rafaela claims before banging the doors shut. Her harsh words may hurt other people's feelings but Gusion finds it entertaining. Seeing the agonized reactions of warriors he defeated is one hell of euphoria for him.
Fully healed, Gusion finishes his meeting with the Lightborn squad. Upon doing so, he heads to the Swan Castle and asks for a favor from Princess Odette.
"You know very well that we are in a hurry right now, Gusion," the princess states. Time is ticking and if they do not take action sooner, a sudden attack might come their way and shake them off from their own ground.
