I wake up to the familiar sound of my alarm clock, blaring in my ear, beckoning me to wake up. A groan escapes me as I pathetically attempt to make my way to my bathroom. My tired steps are forced and sloppy,as my limbs are still healing from my previous fight. I trip over my feet and fall face first into the floor that is new to me. The ridges of the hardwood floor send shards of pain into my badly bruised body. I let it press against my face, making marks into my skin. Too injured to get up, I lay there, waiting for the courage to get up and face a new day.
