When The Sun Sets

Its been over a year since the serial killer Ghost terrorized the little city of Lemon county, and life and order has finally being restored and back to normal.

The media went crazy after finding out that Detective Blake Hunter who was primary in the investigation was actually the serial killer all along, despite the fact that he had multiple personality disorder or MPD for short. Officer Mark was arrested and charged for rape.

Christina received heavy backlash from the public for many believed that she worked hand in hand with Blake, helping him to catch his victims and also helping to throw the police off his trail. Thankfully she had the backing of the entire police force and Nate who she confided in after everything that happened.

A month after Christina Rogers and Nathaniel Ross received their discharge notice from the hospital they returned back to give their statements, recounting the events that took place on the fateful day of Ghost or rather Detective Blake Hunter's death.

A closed casket funeral was performed by Christina for Blake after moving his closed coffin from the hospital morgue down to the cemetery.

"So what are you going to do now?" Nate asked Christina after the coffin was buried

"I don't know yet" She said "What about you?"

"I'm going to leave the county. I have nothing else keeping me here" Nate said looking at the sky

"What about your mom?" She asked looking at him

"She'll be fine" He said as he smiled at her

"Don't leave me alone here" Christina said looking at Nate

He brushed a stray strand of hair and tucked it behind her ear as they walked to his car. Another month passed before she realised that she wouldn't be alone anymore because inside of her a seed was planted.

A night of passion brought forth a new reason to live on and continue to be strong. Exactly eight months after Ghost was set in the ground, Christina Rogers went into the labour and gave birth to the most beautiful baby you would ever lay your eyes on.
The news brought so much joy to Nate who sat down in the waiting area hoping for a safe delivery.

There was no further talks about Ghost after that period as everyone went on to business as usual and It wasn't all that strange.

Many wanted to forget about the horror and fear they all felt knowing that a serial killer lived among them, thinking that they could be the next victim to die in a gruesome and horrific manner.
The morning news came on screen as Monica smith, head anchor-woman appeared on the screen to close off the news hour

"Good morning Lemon county. Its a beautiful Friday morning and I hope you all have a wonderful day. Today mark's a year after the brutal serial killer attack. Don't forget to visit the memorial park to pay your respects to the victims of that assault. This is Monica Smith, signing off."

"Can't believe it's already being a year" The waitress said as she dropped a cup of coffee on the table

"Yeah"

"I don't think I've seen you around here before" She said with a smile on her face

"I just came into town"

"Well welcome to lemon county" She said

Her name on her tag read Jasmine

"Thank you Jasmine. I'm Gh-, I mean Gabriel but you can call me Gabe"

"Well nice to meet you Gabe" She said with a smile "Can I help you anything else?"

"Well I'd like if you could show me around town and maybe a grab a drink afterwards?"

She smiled and looked at him

"Well we'll see" She bent over and wrote her number on a piece of paper and handed it to me "Call me by 8 that's when I get off work"

"Will do"

And she went back to her stand as he took a sip from his cup of coffee

"Well this should be fun"
