The BBQ was huge, not just some hey-lets-have-a-small-get-together. No, like there were over a hundred people and a whole lot of sexy abs; I mean men running around without their shirts. Oh sweet baby Jesus I am going to die. “Come on Lakyn, don’t be shy.” Dallas teased, “Your heat should be fine… If it gets to bad just let me know and we will come back in, Okay.” I nodded my head yes and followed him out; dud does this pack not have any women-guys over here, guys over there… it’s like Christmas morning and I want to unwrap all the packages… man did that come out wrong.

“Lakyn, come here please.” Corbin yelled out at me, I walked over to him and gave him a sweet, innocent smile. “Lakyn, this is my good friend Jay… Jay this is our newest pack member, Lakyn.”

The gorgeous black man, that I was eye raping earlier, held out his hand; “Nice to meet you Lakyn.”

I grabbed his and as he eyed me up and down, “It’s nice to meet you as well.” He closed his eyes and took a deep breath before opening them again. I glanced at Corbin, worried my scent was stronger than I expected.

Corbin leaned into me, “Jay is an alpha and a warrior, he is also well known for his extremely heightened sense of smell.” He whispered pointing at his nose.

“Oh.” I said slowly taking back my hand.

Jay spoke up, “It’s one of my many talents and can be a great gift… or a curse; such as with you right now… I may have to stay away from you,” He growled seductively and winked causing my cheeks to heat up. “Any way’s… Corbin I brought a few friends a long, I hope you don’t mind… they are from a neighboring pack.”

“Sure, that is no problem at all.” Corbin replied back.

“Good, here they are;” Jay waved them over, “Alpha Corbin this is Alpha Lukus and his mate Melinda, and their Beta Jace.” I stiffened immediately and took one smooth step back and partially behind Corbin trying to mask my scent. Taking in a deep breath, that was stupid… I missed his scent so much.

Corbin picked up on my distress, especially when I put my hand under his shirt on his back. Needing to feel skin on skin, -Lakyn, are you okay?-

-Don’t say my name out load, please. - I pleaded; he gave me a worried look as he gazed in my eyes. I whispered one work as I looked down, -Mate. - He knew immediately and asked no more questions.

“It’s very nice to meet you all.” Corbin said shaking their hands while trying to keep his anger in check.

“Yes, it truly is.” Lukus purred staring at me; he doesn’t know who I am.

-Why is there a bond, he mated with her? - I asked through mind link confused.
