Girl, I'm so proud <3

The young 15-year old girl stared at the screen of her phone with her bluebell eyes, nothing but hesitation filling her mind. Yes, she'd told her best friend she was going to do it but was she? Was she really going to risk a friendship she'd worked so hard to get by confessing to a boy who she'd had a crush on ever since the unforgettable umbrella scene happened? She could still remember it like it was just yesterday. She had stormed out of the school, furious due to her disastrous experience for the first day of school, only to find Paris being showered with rain. And then he'd walked out, lent her his umbrella, and at that moment, she could feel the fast beating of her heart just staring into his gorgeous emerald green eyes.

You better come to
school early :/

Don't worry, I will. Marinette Dupain-Cheng had a habit of arriving to school late, but the idea of confessing to her crush had just been in her mind for the longest time now that she couldn't not go to school early. She felt relieved, for some reason, and she figured it was because she was finally going to be letting her feelings out, something she'd been maintaining to herself for the longest time now. She felt enthusiastic as well, just thinking of the positives after confessing. Just visualizing him saying yes after she'd confessed. But most of all, she felt nervous, which wasn't even a surprise as it was normal to feel this way, especially when you were about to do something you never thought you'd ever see yourself doing.

Despite the self-love she had for herself as she saw herself as quite the amazing girl, the one thing Marinette hated about herself was the clumsiness. Everywhere she went, she was sure to stumble over something, especially when she was quite nervous and her mind wasn't focused on whatever was right in front of her. She wasn't perfect, that she knew of, yet at the same time, she just wished she could be better. Maybe then, more than half of her thoughts wouldn't be so unfavourable. "He isn't going to accept me. He'll see me as a weird person. I'm going to completely tarnish this friendship I have with him!" But despite all her negativity, Marinette had decided she'd waited long enough.

Today was the day!

Marinette looked at the screen of her phone once again, checking the time. She'd woken up extra early just to have time to text Alya first, before getting ready. It was still pretty early, but for once, Marinette just wanted to get that feeling of coming to school early and not have her teachers give her looks of disappointment and annoyance, so she got up from her bed, placing her phone down, before heading inside her bathroom to take a shower.

The first person her bluebell eyes landed on was her own best friend, which was no surprise as Alya always loved coming to school quite early. To be quite honest, Marinette was positive she was constantly the last student in her class to arrive each day. To the students, they weren't bothered with it anymore, like it was a normal thing now and the excitement of listening to Marinette get yelled out had faded off. The teachers, however, were used to it as well but weren't having it. They'd already sent complaints towards Marinette's parents, warning her that if she didn't start coming to school early or at least at a decent time, she was going to start obtaining punishments.
