The whole group's jaws dropped open, only the two brothers weren't surprised by this. "I don't think I can handle this..." Bella cried looking at the place. The prison was huge but everyone was crammed inside the cage hoarded like animals. The place stinks horribly, everyone looked skinnier and tired, all their pelts were matted and faded, the floor was covered in dry blood, and CC could tell they were all scared. Braden and Perrin raced to the cage door and looked into it as the rebels raced to the bars of the cage, their arms reached out, begging for help. CC approached the door where she immediately came face to face with her friends. "Carmen, is that really you?" a short girl asked coming up. CC barely recognized the skinny helpless Wildcats until she took a closer look. "Yani?" she cried. They had an awkward but tearful hug from the bars. "I-I thought you didn't know where we were." she sighed. "I wouldn't have if it wasn't for them!" CC cried, trembling as she held her friend. "Carmen... you are really here, this isn't an illusion?" Isabel F. asked coming up joining Yanira's side. "She's really here!" Yanira replied, barely standing. "Oh my gosh!" Isabel F. sighed returning the warm feeling. "How many are there in here?" CC asked, horrified. "We lost count. There's too many though." a girl named Audrey replied tiredly.

"Is Maddie in there?" CC asked. "She's somewhere in the back. There are so many people crammed in here. Do you have any food? We're so hungry." Isabel F. asked. CC checked her small pack where she kept snacks and pulled out three sandwiches. She even gave them a water bottle to share. Right away they scarfed down the food and chugged the shared water they could split among themselves. "Thank you!" Audrey sighed. "C-Carmen? Is that you?" a girl asked as she limped over to the cage door. "Nathalie?" CC asked. Nathalie G. hobbed over to the bars and the two greeted each other warmly. "How did you find us?" she asked. "My brothers apparently got out. They told us to come here! I didn't even know this was happening. How long have you guys been in here?" she asked. "Two weeks. Maybe longer, we're not sure. Lost count." Yanira replied.

Don't worry sisters... you're not staying here. Trust me. CC thought to herself. "Sis, we can't get these bars to pry. Otherwise, we all would've been out of here." Braden told her. "Caroline, Bella, Emery, can you get the bars to start moving?" CC asked them. All three nodded and used their magic to try to break it but it barely made a dent. "Why won't it break?" Bella asked, trying to go back to normal. "Uh, loyal subjects. Where is the key to the cage?" Caroline asked them. "There isn't one your majesty. Our new leaders here in this land melted all the keys!" the she-Wildcat replied cheerily. "Then how do they get in and out!" Caroline snapped impatiently. "That weird bird human comes in and uses her magic! Since the Wildcats don't have any!" she replied. "So Phoenix magic?" Harriet realized. "My only question is why can't we break the spell?" she added. CC looked in her backpack and pulled out the box of stones. "Maybe because she used the magic in these..." CC realized. "Right away the stones for both Phoenix's and Wildcats' glowed. "Are you sure you can control their power?" Allijah asked. "I don't know... but I have to try." she replied.

Carefully she made the 10 stones float around her and she made both swirl around her just like Ms. Huddleston did a long time ago. "I need you guys to stand back!" CC shouted to them. They obeyed and the rest of the group stood behind her. She summoned the power from the stones and made sure they forced the power onto the bars. There was a barrier that was preventing the power from going through all the way and eventually it made a crack in Paige's old spell. "C'mon please work!" CC begged and the barrier broke at last. The bars crumbled and everyone was able to walk out of it.

Some limped out, some had to be helped out of the cage, others had to be carried out. "CC are you alright?" Synclaire asked helping her friend stand. "Yeah, that spell was strong though!" CC replied, gathering her strength. "We gotta get going now!" she cried. They all poured out of the cage and left outside then followed the rescue group outside. "C'mon, we've got to get to the teleporter!" Nathalie told them as they were led out into the field. They began running and followed them to the teleporter where Daniela was already firing up the machine. "I don't think we'll have to wait much longer," she told them as it glowed and formed a small portal. "Come through this way, guys! That'll help us get to a safe location!" Daniela shouted. No one argued and immediately fell into it. CC and the others helped those get into the portal trying to get everyone out of the school of misery until something whizzed passed her. "Get back here you Apprentice Phoenix!" a Wildcat shrieked, as he fired arrows. "Caroline, gooey ball!" CC shouted. Caroline handed one over and CC threw it right at his face.

He landed on the ground, unable to move at all. More Wildcats came out though, most of them riled up. All of them hissed or reached out with their claws at the ground and the rebels. "I've got this!" Nathalie cried and pulled out a bluish-teal gun. It fired multiple times releasing an electric shock through to them. It was almost like a tazer just without the strings. Most fell back until Nathalie's gun ran out of power. Allijah and Bella used their ring and origami weapons to fight off others that became more aggressive. CC used a fallen pine cone to turn into her black cat form and jumped towards a couple of Wildcats that were fighting her friends and sunk her fangs into them. "AGH! Stupid cat!" one shouted. "If you guys would hurry it'd be nice!" CC shouted as the last few rebel Wildcats got through. "We've got them all!" Daniela shouted. Most of her friends got through the portal and CC was sure to keep the rest off as long as she could. "C'mon Carmen it's time to go!" Kate shouted. CC pounced her small self to the portal as quickly as she could but it was still strange being on all fours.

"Ugh, get that cat!" the leader of the battle snarled. One she-Wildcat aimed at the cat with her bow and arrow. Right when CC jumped to get into the portal, the girl let go and the arrow struck her right in the back. But amazingly she fell into the portal right as it began to close. "Damn. Too quick." the she-cat snapped and the crowd drew back. "How are we gonna explain this to the chief?" someone asked. "Personally, I don't know, I don't care! Honestly screw the Wildcat leaders! I'm going to bed!" the leader hissed and ran off leaving the rest of the Wildcats stunned, scared, and exhausted.
