Once upon a time........
That's how every story starts. Like the story comes from a very long time. And suddenly it comes to our eyes for us to see. And we find hope in the future that, maybe that story will end with
........... And then they lived happily ever after.......
But my story is a little different.
How? You ask!
My story started thousands of years back. And it feels like once upon a time!
Don't remember the year but it was a stormy night when two people in a tattered hut, somewhere in China was anxiously waiting for the arrival of a baby. A baby that would save their race. A baby that can change the future. A baby that can turn the wheel of time.
But they didn't know that same baby would be banished and killed right in front of their eyes never to return.
Maybe the wheel of time wasn't meant to be turned. Maybe, that baby had some other purposes, that the priest didn't mention. Or maybe, just maybe, he didn't even know. Maybe no one knew the purpose of the birth of that child, still inside her mother's womb.
The blizzard outside was so scary that the four people in the hut were scared the hut would break down. The wooden frame of the window tattled in the fierce wind like the god of destruction was fixated on ending the world. But for some miraculous reason nothing happened. The expecting mother gave birth to a little baby girl. Skin like snow, eyes like icicles, hairs like the flow of water.
The blue eyed light blue haired snow white skinned girl was born in front of the priest. Her grandmother named her Bingqing, clear as ice. She was her parents' treasure, the apple of their eyes.
And the same night, in the jade palace a two years old boy became too restless. The palace maids couldn't control him. He would try to run to the forest. His eyes would turn fire red. And then in the inside of his right wrist a symbol appears.
Finally the mate of the prince has been born.
On the other side in the tattered hut Bingqing opened her eyes to see the people around her, as if looking for someone. Not finding that person her eyes turned gloomy, the blue in her eyes became dull. And when the people around her held open her left hand, they found a symbol. The symbol of her mate.
~~~~~~~~~~
Thousands of years later, in modern China, in a place called Chongqing, in a hospital a worried father was pacing in front of an emergency room. This is their fifth child. All the four before this died in the womb. All those miscarriages took a toll on his wife and when his wife fell in the community laundry room he was devastated. He thought this baby would die too. He rushed her to the community hospital.
The man works as a kitchen staff in the elite school in the elite area. And his wife used to work as a housemaid for a big family. But when she became pregnant with this fifth child, she stopped. And now she's fighting for her life and their son's inside the emergency room.
The man looks at the gate of the emergency room repeatedly not knowing he was being watched by two figures in a distance. One is a man with porcelain skin and green eyes, and the other is a woman with pearl skin and ocean eyes. In the whole hospital these two people were utterly misfit. But somehow they blend in. No one was looking at them. As if no one can see them!
And the sound of a cry of a baby was heard and a nurse got out of the emergency room.
"It's a boy." They let him look at his baby. But there was another news. The boy lost his mother right after birth. How unlucky!
