Four years had passed and Eva went back to the where she once worked. They welcomed her with open arms and gave her the position she left. Everybody was very happy when they saw inside the company building. After all, she's one of the best leader the company ever had.
Her life has been wonderful for the past four years. Naging maayos ang takbo ng kaniyang negosyo at nakapagdagdag na siya ng dalawa pang branch. Francheska became more active in school and is now a part of the school's dance squad. Ni minsan hindi niya dinalaw sa kulungan si Jack. Kahit pa ilang beses siyang pinakausapan ng kaniyang biyenan. Naging tila bingi siya sa mga pakiusap nito.
Even Francheska never even asked about his father. She won't talk about him. She won't even mention his name. Alam ni Eva na nagkaroon ng malaking epekto sa kaniyang anak ang mga nangyari. Kaya naman ginagawa niya ang lahat upang makalimutan ng anak ang bangungot na kanilang pinagdaanan.
"Hey, beauty? Busy?"
And there's Marcos. Dahil sa pagkakakulong ni Jack sa mga kasong attempted murder, battery, rape and physical and emotional abuse ay madaling naaprubahan ng korte ang annulment ng kanilang kasal. Simula rin noon ay nagsimula ng magpakita si Marcos ng interes para sa kaniya.
"Oh, Marcos. Hi!"
Even though Eva already him that she's not ready for another relationship he's still being consistent. Ang sabi niya kay Eva handa siyang maghintay kung kailan ito magiging handa.
"Five days a week nasa office ka. You have two days off pero mga negosyo mo naman ang inaatupag mo. Nagpapahinga ka pa ba?"
"Alam mo namang gusto kong mabigyan ng magandang buhay si Francheska."
"Marry me, Eva. We will give her the best life she could ever dreamed of."
"Marcos, sinabi ko naman sa'yo di ba? Hindi pa ako handa. Hindi pa ko nakakawala sa takot na baka maulit lang 'yong impyernong naranasan ko kay Jack. I know you're a great man and that you are nothing like Jack but i'm still not ready. Kung hindi mo ko mahihintay maiintindihan ko. You deserver to be happy. Someone who could be yours without insecurities, without fears. Someone who is whole."
"Hindi ko kailangan ng babaeng buo. Handa akong gawin ang lahat para matulungan kang mabuo Eva."
Eva wants to tell Marcos that she's already in love with him. That she's ready to love him. Pero ayaw niyang paasahin at biguin si Marcos. Ayaw niyang papaniwalain ito na handa na siyang muling magmahal pagkatapos ay saktan lamang sa bandang huli. Marcos doesn't deserve that.
Pero kahit ilang beses sinabi ni Eva kay Marcos na hindi pa siya handa ay hindi pa rin tumigil ang binata. Wala pa rin itong palya sa panunuyo at pagbibigay sa kaniya sa mga bagay na makakapgpasaya sa kaniya. Nariyan siya sa mga importanteng okasyon, sa mga panahong masaya o malungkot si Eva. Hindi siya tumigil. Hindi siya napagod.
"Bilisan niyo! Malapit ng dumating si Marcos!"
"Easy Eva. Kahit naman hindi mo gawin 'to baliw na baliw na pa rin sa'yo si Marcos."
"Tumigil ka nga diyan Diane. I just want to make him happy on his special day."
"You makes him happy."
Eva smiled ng maalala niya kung gaano nagtyaga si Marcos sa pangliligaw sa kaniya. Kahit paulit ulit niyang sinabi na hindi pa siya handa nanatili itong nariyan para sa kaniya. Marcos loves and cares for Francheska. Everytime Eva is not available Marcos will be there for the kid. When she can't be there for Francheska PTA meeting, he would drop everything and attend the meeting on her behalf. He proved to her that his intentions are true and clean. At ngayon nga, handa na siyang suklian ang pagmamahal ni Marcos para kaniya.
Nagtungo na ang lahat sa kaniya-kaniya nilang pwesto habang si Eva naman nagtatago sa isang sulok. Marcos walked in not knowing that something special is about to happened. Sinadya ni Eva na huwag batiin si Marcos sapagkat gusto niyang hindi ito magkaroon ng idea sa inihanda nilang surpresa. He promised Eva that he would go to the restaurant to oversee the operation for today. Nagpaalam kasi itong may importanteng pupuntahan. Ni hindi man lang naisipang batiin ni Eva.

Hindi niya maipaliwang ang kaniyang mararamdaman. Kinakabahan siya pero kasabay nun ang walang mapagsidlang kaligayahang nararamdaman niya.
