Chapter 15: Wuthering Heights

Cole's POV

My nervous is gone, with Luna's kiss. But now Luna knows my secrets that, I was never kissed before. She didn't make fun of me. But she was amazed that nobody kissed me before.

I think the good thing is now, that I don't feel afraid or nervous, after, kissing Luna all my stress got resolved. And Luna's compliment that I am a good kisser, boosted my confidence.

"I will sit in front today", Luna says loud enough, so that everyone can hear her. And most importantly so that Ray can hear her.

"But you don't sit at front", I join her, in her act.

"Yes Love!  But I will sit in front,  so that I can be close to you ", she sits on the desk, next to me.

"Okay, Lu"

Lu?

Did I give her a nickname?

Luna looks at me in amazement, and smiles. I think she sort of liked, that I called her Lu.

I sit on my regular front desk, and Mr Smith, enters the class, With the copy of Wuthering Heights.

"Miss Brown, you are not late today, and also you are on a front desk", Mr. Smith looks at Luna in surprise.

Of course he will be surprised, Luna always comes late to his class, and today she is not only on time, she is also sitting on the front desk.

"I am in good influence now, Mr. Smith", she looks at me and smiles.

"Oh! Good influence in good for you, Miss, Brown", Mr. Smith looks at me. Is Mr. Smith also knows that I am Luna's boyfriend now? I think the way Luna is acting, the principle will also know that we are in relationship.

"So, how all of your, assignments are going?  If someone has any difficulty regarding the assignment, please feel free to ask"

"Which assignment?", Luna asks with wide eyes.

"The assignment which I gave all of you, on Wuthering Heights ", Mr Smith replies.

"When you gave this?", Did Luna don't know anything about the assignment, I remember she was in class, it was her first day at school, after returning from hospital.

"A few days ago", Mr. Smith is also surprised, that Luna don't know anything about the assignment.

"Maybe I was in hospital",

"No you weren't, I remember you were in class, I gave you the 'study of characters in the novel Wuthering Heights ', as a topic for your assignment",

"Really Mr Smith?"

"Yes Miss Brown,  I am surprised,  your assignment partner,  didn't discuss anything with you, about this assignment", On the day Mr. Smith assigned us with assignment, Luna was going through a lot, first with her break up with Ray, and then she lost her position as a leader of cheerleading team.

"Who is my assignment partner?",

"Ray Wright", Mr Smith looks at Ray, who is sitting on the second last bench, in Luna's row.

"What I don't want Ray, as my assignment partner", she looks, behind at Ray.

What?

Isn't she should be happy, that Ray is her assignment partner?

"Why Miss Brown",

"Because I want to work on this assignment, with my boyfriend Cole ", She looks at me, and then back to Mr Smith.

What? But why?, I want to ask her, but this is not the right time to ask.

"Miss Brown, I have made the assignment pairs already, and it will be unfair, with other students, if I change your assignment partners ", Mr Smith tells Luna. But as I have come to know Luna, in this past few days. I know she will not give up, until Mr Smith changes her assignment partner.

"Mr. Smith, Ray is irresponsible, and he is always busy with football and girls, I don't want a partner like him, and you can't see I am injured, my hand and leg are both in plaster, I will not be able to write, I want a partner who is trustworthy, so I want Cole", I can't believe, she said all those things about Ray, in front of all class.

"Fine Miss Brown ", Mr. Smith bows down, in front of Luna's persuasion, "Cole you and Luna are assignment partner, and Ray will be Mia's partner, who was earlier Cole's partner”.

"So now I will continue with,  Wuthering Heights now ", As soon as, he completes his sentence bell rings, and Mr Smith huffs, "I will continue tomorrow", he says and leaves,  he must be frustrated, as he wasted his entire class because of Luna.

I have to ask Luna why she refused to be Ray's assignment partner, and chose me over him. I open my mouth to ask,"Luna",

But Luna cuts me off "I have French class now, I will see you later", she gives me a kiss, on my right cheek, and walks out of the class.

Luna's POV

I walk in French class, and the first thing I see is Britney. I hate her, I hate her from the bottom of my heart. I can't tolerate her in front of my eyes, But I have to be calm I can't afford to be frustrated in front of her. If I say something to her in anger, she will know that I am not over Ray. And by chance If she gets any clue that my relationship with Cole is fake, she will spread that news in entire school.

So clam down Luna, I tell myself, and sit at the front desk. I don't like to sit on the front desk. But people have see that I have changed in a good way, in the influence of Cole.

Britney comes to my desk, as soon as Miss Bennett walks out of the class.

"Hey, I am really happy for you and Cole", I know bitch, you are not.

"Awe! Thank you", I give her fake simile.

"But I am really surprised"

"Why?",

"I didn't know, that you have a thing for nerds", Though she is dumb, but she exactly knows how to find the truth. And right now, she is trying to find the real truth of my relationship with Cole.

"Don't call him nerd, he is my boyfriend", I say the perfect thing, which any girlfriend would say, if anyone calls her boyfriend nerd in front her.

"I am sorry", Britney apologizes immediately, I have to convince her that I really like Cole.

"Cole is the most important person in my life, right now", I try my level best, to say the right thing, and Britney seems convinced now about my relationship, so that means I am doing a great act.

"I didn't know, that you are, that much serious about Cole, because a few days ago, you were fighting with me, for Ray", she is not convinced yet. I thought she is dumb, but maybe I was wrong.

"Yes! You know Britney I was so broken, after Ray broke up with me, and at that time Cole was there for me, he took the broken pieces of my heart, and glued it together with his love", I give the Britney my best act.

"And Britney, I am so thankful that you came between me and Ray, because of you and Ray, I am with Cole now", I add.

She looks at me speechlessly for a few seconds,"I am really so happy for you, and I wish you the best for you and Cole".

"Thank you", I hug her, and she is taken aback by my unanticipated action, but she recovers immediately and hugs me back.

Britney pulls away,"I will see you later, okay"

"Okay bye", I wave my hand, and Britney finally goes.
