Finally time for second period had begun. Gon and his two new friends Kurapika and Leorio had discussed what classes they had together this semester. Gon had first period with both kurapika and Leorio, he also had kurapika in his third period class. "Ok let's meet for lunch!" Said Gon standing at the entrance of the class with a wide smile on his face. His new friends both smiled and waved goodbye as they finished putting away their binders and pencil cases. Gon began his journey to his second class of his first day of school. His next class was math, which he wasn't particularly skilled at. The classroom number was room 110, which was right at the front of the school on the first floor.

He managed to get to his class with 5 mins to spare. The classroom door was already open so he walked in with a blonde hair girl following behind him. This girl caught his eye but not like the white haired male he had previously seen. Gon took a seat on the side of the class in the middle of the row. This was a go to seat for Gon since it wasn't at the very front of the class but he still felt involved in conversations if he decided to engage himself in class. After taking out his pencil case and binder he felt eyes on him. Gon looked up and forward to see that very white haired boy who had ran past him on the way to school in the seat infringe of him turned around in his chair looking at him.

"Uh hey, do you have any extra lead" said the boy. Gon was a bit embarrassed at how excited he got to be talking to the attractive boy. Gon muttered "uh.... I don't use mechanical pencils" while looking down. Gon was so nervous his heart rate quickened and he stopped listening to his surroundings. The boy said something while holding out his hand. Gon assumed it was to shake his hand so he extended his right hand and grasped the hand being held out in front of him. "I'm Gon" he said attempting to push past his anxiety with a smile on his face. Then quickly the hand he was holding jolted backwards along with the boy it was attached to. The white haired boy had fallen out of his chair on was on the floor. "Baka! I said give me one of your pencils not hold my hand!" The boy sounded upset and was blushing.

The two boys were as red as tomatos. "I'm sorry! Let me help you up." Gon said while extending his hand. "I can get up myself, Gon" said the boy now seating in his chair once again but now facing forward. When the boy said Gon's name, Gon's stomach got butterflies. The whole class had gone quiet while listening to the two's exchange of words. The teacher began to speak. "Well this is a perfect time to begin, this is grade nine math." The man continued speaking but Gon neglected to pay any attention at all. He hoped he didn't embarrassed the boy in front of him too much. Attendance began and once again Gon tuned in to try and remember his new classmates names. He only remembered a few 'Pokkel, Ponzu, Canary and Retz'. The last was almost at the end when he realized the teacher hadn't yet called the name of the boy in front of him.

"Killua" the teacher said. It was as if Gon already knew, this was his name. "Here" the boy in front of him, killua said. What a perfect name for such a handsome, attractive and slightly intimidating person. Gon was smiling at this point because now he knew his name and from their exchange of words he knew that killua knew his name as well. Gon knew he had to become friends with this boy, he began plotting ways he could begin a conversation with him. He decided to wait till the teacher told the class to write down something and Gon would say 'do you still need a pencil?' It would be perfect. Soon the time came, Gon was holding his best pencil ready to hand it to killua the second he had the chance but what shocked him was that killua had a pencil in his hand already. Thoughts filled Gons head. 'Wait did he ask someone else? I swear I never saw him ask anyone!' Then the thought came to mind 'what if he already had a pencil and just wanted an excuse to talk to me!.... no way! He seems to cool to do such a silly thing.' Gon dismissed the thought but the chance that killua just wanted to talk to him stayed in the back of his mind.

Soon enough the class ended and killua practically bolted out of the room. A little shocked at how fast the boy was Gon thought 'It's fine there is always next class I can talk to him, maybe I can ask for a pencil?' It was time for Gon to meet his two friends for lunch.
