The Children of Northcrest

Prologue:

          "Forget everything I've told you! Keep running!"

          That's what my father said before I died. February 5, 2116 was my tenth birthday. The day I was supposed to be separated from the device, but that never happened. I was minding my own business on this day when one of my class mates was trying to break the device to scare me, but they actually broke it. Everyone in town looked me, horrified. Somebody was pushing past , trying to drag me to where I would take my last breaths. But that never happened.

          I heard my father while they were trying to take me away, "Forget everything I've told you! Keep running!" So, I ran. I ran from where I was pushed and pulled. "Get off of me!" The man stayed silent, glaring at me. "Let go of me," My hands reached his face, and I roughly pushed my fingers into his eyes. "Ah, damn child!"

          He let go of me rubbing his eyes. I start running in the opposite direction from where that man stood, but I ran into another person, "Come here you little shit!" I kicked him in the crotch and started running again. And just like that, it was all over. People of the Sapphire Division thought I was already killed, but they were wrong. The Militia was after me, trying to take my life before I could spread any word of what my father had told me. I later found out that they killed my father for finding out the secret about Northcrest.

          For the last 7 1/2 years, I've been disguised as a boy. I'm now going by the name Liam Carter. When I finally turned 18, I decided to join the Militia as Liam. I thought that'd be a safe choice. But then I started to notice something different about me...as the days came and went I started to notice that my chest was getting bigger, and my voice softer. Every morning I bound my chest to make it look smaller, and I practice trying to make my voice deeper as well. But the big issue didn't happen until I had already joined the group.
