Elementia

Chapter One

Karma Jolted up with her hand on her chest as she was covered in cold sweat and keeping her left eye covered by her Red hair. She had been having the same nightmare over and over again since she was nine years old. Seeing Flames across half the village, people Running and screaming while some were being captured.Her running and looking for her two best friends while being chased by two men in Bandit like clothing. Instantly getting knocked out as the last thing she saw was the smoke in the air along with everything turning red and hearing growling. The flame in her eyes from the reflection of the fireplace was show. She looked away to see the outside of her window to see the sun starting to rise and Sighs while gettin out of bed. "Well.....another day of training, Studying, and.....well hanging with my two best buds..." she said starting to brush her shoulder length Red hair and opening the window. The cold air started to make her feel relaxed. "Oh thank god for winter coming soon....maybe I'll try some of those specials at the Tavern...." she said while a Small bird flys in and lands by the fire place, shaking by the cold it ruffled its feathers and body and laid down feeling relaxed as Karma giggled. "Go ahead rest little birdie....your gonna need all the warmth you can get". She went over and put a small log in the fire while the flames were rising and reflecting her eyes again. She can still hear the crys even after being knocked out. She can also remember seeing red eyes in the dark, those eyes always made her skin burn from the marks she was born with and still can't don't know why she has them, or why she met Xander which is her best friends Luke's father that was finally banished to the outside world through the giant tree. She sighs and goes to her closet to finally get dressed since the sun was rising more. She put on her white long sleeved shirt and brown pants. She puts on some brown leather boots and trying to tie her chest armor plate on while hearing her door open.

"Karma are you ready ye-" said The Elder as he sees Karma struggling and chuckles. Goes to her and ties her Chest plate to make it right but easy for her to remove. "There you go my dear....how does it feel?". Karma stretches her arms a bit and then took something sharp out and threw it passed the bird laying by the fireplace. The bird started Squawking and flew up quickly as it dropped back on the Stone floor. "Whoops....Sorry birdie...." she said and looked at the Elder while smiling nervously . "And uh....it feels fine your highness...."
the Elder smiled and chuckled as he picks up the small bird and calms it down as it fell back asleep. "Don't worry Karma you were just testing it out a bit....no harm done....go ahead and get some food and head for training...I don't want you to be late". He smiled as so did Karma, she knew this man ever since she was five years old after her parents tragic car accident that lead to both of their deaths in New York City. She was in the police station just sitting in one of the chairs while holding a golden puppy stuffed animal. When the Elder found her he saw how miserable she was looking for her mother and father. He felt so terrible and heartbroken that he decided to take her in and raise her to be the next heir to the throne one day. He taught her everything she needed to know, hand signs to heal, plants to use for powders and lixers to help the sick and mental mind along with knocking out enemies and helping more. He told her where to go and where to not go as some of the places in Elementia were extremely dangerous like the form in forest. The Elder smiled as he snapped his fingers as Karma finally snaps back into reality. "Oh right sorry I'll go now!...Bye!!" She yelled out while running out her room while The Elder just stood there and shaking his head as he smiled more and petting the small bird and makes vines close her window. "What am I going to do with that child?" He chuckled. The small bird just shorted happily and cozied on the Elders warm hands.

Karma ran through the temple as the walls were filled with art carved on all four walls as she runs through a middle of a room with four walls and each have a symbols of the Elements, Air,Fire,Water and Earth, Karma got out of the room and ran through the kitchen while grabbing a few different kinds of food and mostly bread, one of the maids caught her and chased after Karma, "Come back here princess!!" Said the maid and tripped on her own dress and falls on the hard marvel floor. "Sorry Ma'am!!" Karma yelled back at her, she finally ran out of the temple and down the thirty steps as the view of Elementia was beautiful. The grass was green as spring and the trees slowly Turing into most of the falls color as some of them are dead with no leaves on them. The enchanted forest glistened with its colors and the view from the northern mountains was seen even with some of the clouds swirling around it. Karma breathes in the cold air as she wonders when it's going to snow and puts a small bread roll in her mouth, she gets to the bottom of the stars, runs as fast as she can to the Training field.

Guess today's gonna be a great day! She thought.
