Better Together Part 3

CC's DEAD?!?!

*Disclaimer: So this does involve some sensitive death and if u don't like it well... SKIP TO THE NEXT DARN CHAPTER OR STOP READING THIS IDK!!! Also before you get mad and ask me "CC, why would u put a picture of a dead cat?" First of all, that cat IS NOT dead, he's clearly sleeping, and second. I would never put up a picture of an actual dead cat because that's disturbing for the younger eyes reading this. So yeah. Ok enough of me! Go ahead and read.*

Right away all of the Wildcats escapees, as well as the rescue crew made it out alive. "Thank you for helping us!" Michelle thanked as she hobbled over to hug a few people she recognized. "No worries! We'd do it again!" Bella replied. "So how'd you even find us?" asked a girl named Mia. "Well, our friend's brothers actually came and found us!" Daniela replied motioning for Perrin and Braden to come forward. "Y-You guys are still alive!" Adrea cried. "Yeah, we did. We were able to squeeze through a hidden hole and make it out. We were gonna help you guys out but then the guards caught us and of course that hole was filled in later on!" Perrin replied. "So Carmen came with you guys?" asked Caroline G. "Yeah she did! She's right over-" Brenna began but then looked behind her. "K-Kate, I thought you said CC was right behind you!" she cried.

"She was! Maybe she didn't make it through!" Kate cried looking around. "But then that means she's trapped in the Wildcats' turf!" Yoani exclaimed. "And if she's there she must've been retained!" Kevin added. "C'mon we gotta get her back!" Jose declared. "We can't! Once the portal closed! There's no way to open it back up without the machine!" Daniela cried. "Well I'm not leaving our sister there!" Braden snapped. "I agree! I'm going back!" Yanira chimed. "But CC wouldn't want us to go back! It'd be too risky!" Harriet protested. "I'm not going to sit here and wait until someone agrees! I'm going!" Perrin snapped.

Right as he turned around, a weird swirl appeared in the air. Everyone was shocked to see it appear out of nowhere but Daniela had a guess about what it was. "It can't be!" she exclaimed. But after it formed all the way, a black cat came stumbling and shaking through. "What the-" Nathalie G. wondered as the cat soon fell to the ground. "CC, is that you?" Emery asked terrified coming towards the cat. CC gave a painful meow and laid there on the ground bleeding onto the grass. Emery now raced over to pick up the dying cat who had an arrow through her back. Knowing the risks, Emery used her magic to try to remove the arrow without making anything else worse. "C'mon arrow!" Emery cried as she concentrated on the arrow as it ripped out clean. CC cried out which made Emery freak out but held the small black cat as her eyes seemed to lose their color. "CC... no! Don't you dare!" Emery snapped.

Others seemed to fear the worst and approached Emery who gently shook the cat. Her brothers looked at her devastated and held her small paw. She purred happily but everyone looked like they were gonna burst into tears. "You can't die CC... you just started living!" Allijah cried. "Please dude..." Bella cried. Kate couldn't take it and hugged Brenna tight as tears streamed down her face. CC stared up at the stars. Her eyelids became heavier and heavier. Daniela tried her best to repair the damage but it was still grim.

The Wildcats couldn't believe this even. The girl who was determined to save them all ended up with her own death sentence. Taking one last look at her friends, Emery and the others knew the truth. She wasn't coming back from this. With one final look at them. CC licked Emery's hand before falling limp in her arms. "CC... CC? CC!" she shouted. Taking a closer look, she knew for sure. CC was dead.
