Earning Her Trust Back

Part 5

Vote: Trial or Timeskip

After Lisa, Lincoln and Lily were escorted towards the local orphanage, the police were ordered to personally send court orders towards multiple people in town. From teachers, to parents and store owners....everyone who saw what Lisa was going through and said nothing or even joined in were going to court. As expected, this garnered national attention and brought light to a massive child neglect case that the entire town except for a couple of people did against one four year old girl.

Needless to say, the Louds weren't happy about this since their lives were going to ruined beyond repair. And naturally, they wanted to blame all of this on Lisa..but, stopped once they remembered what she told them. 

"This is literally a nightmare." Lori said. She, Leni and Luna were being bullied by almost everyone at school and she lost her friends/boyfriend for what she did. It hurt, but it really hit home once Fairway College sent a rejection letter.

"I know. And what's worse is that everyone is blaming us for it?" Luan said. Luan was bullied again and her friends abandoned her. Her funny business also suffered since they blamed her for letting them mock and target Lisa at birthday parties.

"Can we really blame them? We let this happen and they joined in...except for the Santiagos, McBrides, Helmandollars, and Delmuchads (Maggie's last name). Plus..Lincoln and Lisa won't talk to us." Lynn Jr. said. She was kicked out of all of her sports teams and none of her friends are talking to her. No one is messing with her due to how strong she is.

"Don't remind me. Great Aunt Harriet isn't pleased with any of us." Lucy said. She has kicked out of the Morticians club and all of her friends avoid her. 

"Well at least all of you have it easy. Lana and I are the laughing stocks of our school." Lola said. Lola and Lana were being bullied with the added bonus of being banned from their activities. As all this was going on, Lincoln and Lisa were watching their sister as she walked around and started to play with some toys.

"I heard that the others are going through a hard time." Lincoln said which didn't surprise Lisa in the slightest mainly because she knew that everyone that got papers were blaming them for what happened.

"I figured as much. People aren't taking responsibility for their own actions and are taking it out on them. Besides it's safe to say that we'll be adopted out once they're punished for what they've done." Lisa said.

"Sigh...I just hope that they're going to be okay once they've served their time in jail and juvie." Lincoln said.

"They may have some difficulty finding work, but with a little effort on their part...they can get back on their feet." Lisa said. Lincoln nodded and went back to watching his little sister play while thinking about what kind of family would adopt all three of them together.

Unaware that his new life would be a thousand times better than the one that he had.
