-KAEDE'S POV-
Wow.... those eyes are so.... magical. I feel butterflies being sent right through me. Crap- what am I thinking? This is a thief! Suddenly, while I was daydreaming, they got on top of me, now pinning me down.
"Seeya later, princess!" The person says, winking at me. What is that supposed to mean?! Before I know it, they are climbing up the wall. How did they do that so fast?! I cant let them get away! But it's too late.... they are already too far up the wall for me to reach. I sigh, Guess I'll have to lock my balcony doors for now on! I close my doors, and fall back onto my bed. What good looking eyes they had.... I wonder what their name was? Probably something romantic like... I honestly don't even know. I just hope we meet again.
-SHUICHI'S POV-
In the morning, Princess Akamats- I mean Kaede, seemed tired. When I walked her to breakfast, she didn't speak one word! It was so... strange. She's usually always so happy and giggling. I wonder what's wrong.
I watch her eat and don't see her smile once! In fact, she looks like she's about to fall asleep in her chair. I notice the dark circles under her eyes, she must've not have gotten enough sleep. She still looks beautiful though... but I must find out what's wrong!
"Kaede, Did you get enough sleep last night?" I ask her, while we walk through the royal garden.
"Huh? Oh... yeah..." She says, yawning in between her words. Geez- she's never like this! Suddenly, she falls onto me, Almost knocking me over. I manage to catch her in time though.
"You need to rest.." I tell her, picking her up bridal style and walking back to her room.
-KOKICHI'S POV-
"Aha!" I show my members the diamond earrings I stole from the castle. I didn't mention me getting caught and topped by the princess though! Cause they don't really need to know all of that!
"Woah boss! You're so good at this!" One of them says.
"Yeah, yeah" I say, brushing it off like it wasn't a big deal. Oh, but it was! I had been dying to get my hands on those earrings! Now I just need one thing left.... and that's her pearl necklace.
My mom showed me it while we were watching the coronation of the queen one day. The young princess, Kaede Akamatsu, was wearing it. My mother told me, "I've always wanted that necklace." A few months later, she died. After that, I've strived to get that necklace in my hands. For my mother.
But how? I'm sure the princess will lock her doors by now, since she caught me. How will I get in now? I'm sure I'll find a way somehow! I mean, it can't be impossible! Right?
"Boss, are you alright?" Another member asks me.
"Hm? Oh yeah!" I answer, putting my hands behind my head. I need to think about this.
"Okay! Well, me and the others are gonna visit the kingdom again tonight to steal some more stuff!" They explain to me.
"Sounds good to me! I'll join ya!" I answer, smiling. They smile back, and begin to get themselves ready. Life as a leader is hard. But I'll manage it! All for mom.
I'll get that person necklace.
Even if it's the last thing I do.
-KAEDE'S POV-
I wake up in my bed. How long did I sleep for? All I remember is falling into Shuichi's arms, him carrying me somewhere, I'm not sure where though? I look at myself in the mirror. Geez, I look bad. I brush my hair and try to look a bit presentable. I think it's evening which means supper is coming up! Almost like he read my mind, Shuichi knocks at the door.
"Kaede? Are you awake?" He asks.
"Yep!" I reply, opening the door. He smiles at my greeting, and I take his hand. Shuichi is such a comfort to me!
"Thank you shu, for carrying me back to my room! That was so sweet of you!" I say, smiling at the boy.
"Ah- no problem, Kaede! I wanted to make sure you were okay! Are you feeling better?" He asks me.
"Mhm!" I reply, joining my family in the dining room as always. Nobody seemed to notice my drowsiness all day, thank goodness. I'm scared they might've asked why? Because a thief came in the middle of the night! But... I wasn't going to tell anyone that. For reasons.
"Kaede, dear, we must talk to you about something." My mother announces.
"What is it?" I say, perking my head up to listen.
"Well, we want you to find a partner. A suitor. A husband. Someone you can start a family with when me and your father are gone. You cannot be alone forever! And you're 18, so now is the time!" My mother explains. A husband? I haven't thought about that since I was 8. I mean, why not a wife? True- nobody knows I'm bisexual. But why do I need to worry about a lover now? Why can't I wait? I need to explore before settling down somewhere!
"So, me and your father are hosting a ceremony tomorrow for you to find one!" She adds. Ughhhh. I hate ceremonies. I'm always forced to wear those big ball gowns and tight corsets.
"Okay, Mother." I mumble. I don't want a husband. I just want some freedom.
-KOKICHI'S POV-
While searching for new ways into the castle, I stumbled upon a window of the dining room. Of course nobody saw me staring into it, I was staring at the royal family. And... they are saying something? But what?
"You need to find a husband." I hear a voice say. AHA! GREAT! This is perfect! Now, I know my way into the kingdom....And that's through the princess' heart!
