Ice cream and gossip maybe?

Clara's P.O.V

It's been a week since the whole jacket incident and nothing has happened.

And to be perfectly honest, I am pooing myself! What prank has James got up his sleeve? And will it kill me?

I was sat on my head, doing my math homework and listening to some depressing Sam Smith song and eating cold pizza from last night.

Don't judge me and my weird eating, I like cold pizza. If you don't, I wouldn't care, hate it all you like, just don't diss me about it.

I would like to say my life is pretty normal. My Dad is my legal guardian after my Mum left us and we have scrapped together enough money to keep us on our feet. We have a roof over our heads and that's all I will ever need.

My Dad owns a repairs shop on the outskirts of town, which is a good 5 miles from where we live. But being my Dad, the "awesome guy that doesn't give a duck" (the last word rhymes with something else, you might have guessed it), than you travel on the bike through town and down a deserted road until you come to a rundown shop.

That no one ever goes to!

I finished the final question of my homework just as 'Uptown Funk' came on and I immediately began singing along.
I was in ultimate rave mode when the doorbell rang. I was about to yell for my Dad but then remembered that he was on a date.

I swear, old people dates are just weird and I can't imagine how one would go.

I groaned when the bell rang again and trudged downstairs. I opened the door and rolled my eyes at the girl in front of me.
"And you're here because...?" I ask, holding the doorframe and smirking

She grunts and pushes past me, claiming the couch and dumping her bag by her feet.
"I got kicked out. Again." Lucy explained

I closed the door and walked over to the kitchen. I grabbed 2 spoons and three tubs of ice cream and walked over to Lucy. I sat down next to her an grinned as her face lit up.
"Ice cream and gossip maybe?" I hinted as she nodded, eagerly grabbing a tub and spoon.

She shoved a spoonful of cookie dough ice cream in her mouth and nodded at me. This was our thing, we only had each other in school. We kept each other sane...sort of.

"Basically, my parents blamed me again for losing Tom and he kept making stuff up, like I left him in the park alone and all that shizzle. So they said that my attitude was getting out of hand and they told me to pack up and leave. So, I did." She explained

"That's what happened last time!" I exclaim

She nods while shovelling more ice cream in her mouth and leans her head back against the sofa.
"I was wondering if I could stay here again?" Lucy asked, looking at her feet

I smiled and picked my fun of mint ice cream up.
"Sure, it's Saturday! Stay as long as you need to my dearest!" I laughed and she soon joined in

"Is there a party tonight? I need to get this all out of my system, all of the stress!" Lucy asked, standing up and stretching

I shrugged and she sighed.
"Useless! I will text people, don't worry!" She groaned
