A chilling breeze fills the air, as the sun sets behind a melancholy cloud. It fits the mood on Halloween night. It's almost evening and my shift has finally ended. It's time for me to go home and play Among Us.

I twist the keys that are inside the front door's lock and enter my home. I have just moved into a new neighbourhood all by myself. There I have found three beautiful people who I call my friends. Britney and Jamie go to school and work at a cafeteria part-time and Sarah has a full-time job as a sales girl.

A while ago Sarah introduced me to Among US and now, I'm so addicted!

As I get home, I flop on my bed and switch on the game. I patiently wait for someone to come online and play with me when all of a sudden, the name Corpse appears on the screen. This causes my lips to stretch from ear to ear.

"Hi Corpse!"

"Hello" he replies in that deep voice. "You doing well, (Y/N)?"

I met Corpse about two weeks ago on Among Us. After that, we also start to chat in private and get to know each other more. He suffers from agoraphobia but deep down he's a real sweetheart. We never showed each other's faces because he's not ready yet and that's understandable. There's a question I've always asked myself since he has set a foot in my life...

Can you like someone 'cause of their personality although you've never seen them physically?

"I'm well thank you. How are you feeling Corpse?" I ask, my heart slightly beating fast.

"Not feeling at my best but I try to be"

"You need to ta-"

"Hey guys!"

"Hi!!"

My words have been cut off by other members who just enter the game.

"It's okay Chillz, we'll talk another time" Corpse tells me with a hint of a smile in his tone. My account's name is StrawberryChillz and everyone goes by Chillz in short.

"You and Chillz have something going on, don't you?" Sykkuno teases.

A guy named Jason jumps. "No way, the Deep Daddy?!"

Valkyrae giggle at the other end. "You guys stop it! You're embarrassing them!"

Throughout the game the other members have been teasing us all along. We try to play it cool and switch the subject but we didn't succeed. After two hours of playing my phone starts to ring. It's Sarah.

"He-"

"Hope you didn't forget that we have a Halloween party!" she replies without giving me a chance to say Hello.

I freeze. I look at the time and it shows that it's Nine-thirty pm.

"SHIT!" I blur out.

The members from the game stay silence.
