Nalla's p.o.v

Oh, Enderknights…

I. Hate. Beacon. Travelling.

It's been a day but my head is still all dizzy and my stomach still feels weird.

Other than the beacon part, I enjoy my trips to get more supplies. Better than being stuck in home anyway.

I ride on Shade, making my way home with my super duper heavy pack on my back. The sunlight shines through the trees, making the woods a beautiful sight to behold.
Shade gallops on the gravel path, making a soundless trip impossible.

Suddenly, I hear something behind me. It seems to be someone going through the trees.

I draw out my sword cautiously.

The person was getting closer…

Closer…

A timber horse with golden mane gallops out of the trees towards me, almost running me and Shade over. Shade evades to the side, but accidentally throws me onto the ground.

I land on the gravel with a thump, landing on my back.

Ouch.

I shake my head, trying to regain myself as I watch the horse gallops away.

Curious, I hop back onto Shade quickly, ' Come on! Let's go after it!'

With a neigh, we ride off towards the direction the horse went.

Elion's p.o.v

I sit on a hill on the outskirts of the village with a nice view of Sendaria. I have my book which I am currently reading on my lap.

Suddenly, a horse comes out of nowhere, storming past me. Caught by surprise, I immediately stand up, evading to the side as it gallops past me.

It screeches to a stop, then turns back towards me.

' Timber?' I recognise it as my father's horse.

I hear more galloping behind me, so I turn around. Nalla is on her horse, Shade, riding towards us. Shade stops next to me.

' Nalla? What are you doing here?'

' I was heading back to Kaltaria, but ran into this horse. Of course, I chased after it, and here I am. Do you know whose horse this is?'

' It’s my father's,' I tell her, stroking Timber's silky golden mane.

' What is it doing out here?' she asks.

' I don't-'

I'm cut off as Timber neighs, and keeps moving his head.

' What?'

' What is in that direction?' she seems to understand.

Timber raises both his front legs, neighing again.

' Sorry, I can't understand that,' she says.

' You speak horse?' I ask jokingly.

' Once you're used to being around them, it gets easier to understand them,' she tells me.

Timber begins motioning towards me.

' Elion?' Nalla asks.

Timber raises one of it's hooves, pointing to my body.

' His markings?' Nalla asks again.

' My markings?' I ask questioningly.

' You mean his father?' she guesses.
