Gloria stared fear stricken, that laugh the same one from her dream, then it was true she was back.

"What in the world is going on!?" said Queen Amethyst sounding bewildered.

"I don't know," Gloria's mother said slowly.

"Queen Lamia is Back!"  Gloria blurted out and instantly she clapped her hooves over her mouth.

"Now Gloria please be realist-" her mother broke off as another voice spoke from the doorway.

"She's telling the truth."

Everyone turned to see Queen Sunbeam standing in the entrance, she was silhouetted by the light from the storm outside and her eyes were blank and frightened. She turned her head to look at Gloria, they stared at each other and Gloria realized that they were the only ones who could stop this.

"How?" Gloria said out loud and Sunbeam shook her head.

"I don't know," Sunbeam said, looking more tired than ever. "I don't know."

"Ok, I know this is all "your time has come to save the world" like destiny is great and all but shouldn't we be protecting the literal kingdom that's under attack?" Christilia said, breaking the silence.

Everyone nodded and ran out of the meeting room and towards the gates, Gloria followed, her heart was racing but she didn't turn back. It was her time and she wasn't about to run away like a coward. Christilia ran after Gloria and Gloria could see by her expression that she was as confused as her mother, Gloria didn't blame her, if she'd been in her position she would be bewildered and frightened too. They ran and ran down, up, around, and up again, until Gloria lost track, her head was spinning and her mind was reeling, but still she ran on not stopping to look back or to question her destiny, her destiny, the words spun around and around her mind and she wished she could forget this all, she wished that this whole day was a dream and that she was safe in her bed asleep, she could hear the screeches of the birds that slept on the roof of the castle, but they weren't birds, they were ponies the screams of ponies to be precise the were growing louder and louder as she got closer, they brought her back to reality just as she neared the gates, she stumbled outside to see that the blank mass had completely taken over, and in the midst of all the lightning and the power was the mangy form of Queen Lamia.
