NANA
*beep* *beep*
I groaned and slammed my hand on the snooze button of my alarm clock. I slowly opened my eyes. It was time to go to my new school that I will be attending for the next three years. I rolled around in my bed not wanted to get out of it.
I gave out a big sigh and sat up on my bed. I closed my eyes for a couple of seconds before getting out of bed and walking into my bathroom to get ready.
I soon felt a nervous feeling in my stomach as I brushed my teeth. I was worried about being the new student. I didn't know how today was going to go. Just don't freak out, Nana.
I thought as I spat out my toothpaste. I washed up and put on some light makeup to look somewhat decent. I put on my uniform and fixed my hair. I just let it flow loose since I was too lazy to do anything to it.
I heard a knock at my bathroom door. "Nana! Are you ready for your first day of high school?" I heard Yana shout from outside of the door. "Yes! I'll be down in a minute!" I said and I heard her footsteps walk down the stairs.
I looked at myself one last time in the mirror before walking downstairs where my aunt was. I took a piece of toast on the table and grabbed my stuff. "I'll be going now." I said. "Have fun!" She shouted from the kitchen.
I walked outside of the apartment and started to head to Seirin High. I saw other students with the same uniform as Seirin's on the way. Seirin was very close to my aunt's apartment. It was a five minute walk to get to the high school and at that moment I wished the walk was longer.
The feeling in my stomach was getting worse every step I took towards the high school. I crossed my arms aross my stomach to help the feeling lessen. I took a deep breath as I was right in front of the school gate.
I walked to my first class and it was upstairs, so I had more time before I had to present myself before my class.
I had finally reached my destination. I took a deep breath before sliding the door open. All eyes were on me. I scanned around the classroom and my eyes widened as my eyes focused on a certain blue-haired boy who's emotion was expressionless as he stared right back at me.
"Ah! You must be our new student from America! Please introduce yourself." My teacher gestured for me to stand in front of the class.
I walked to the front of the classroom and bowed and gave them my sweetest smile, "Hello, my name is Kotoba Nana and I am from America, specifically California. Please take care of me." I bowed again.
"She's really cute."
"Wow, she's from America."
"She looks like a nice person."
"I hope I get to know her better."
These conversations were going on around the room. "Miss Kotoba, you can sit next to Kuro- Wait where is Kuroko?"
Everyone in the class scanned around the room and tried to look for this 'Kuroko'.
Then the blue-haired boy raised his hand, "Amaya-sensei, I'm right here." Did nobody notice him? Strange..
"Ah, there you are.." Amaya-sensei sweatdropped. "Please sit next to Kuroko." I nodded and sat by him.
"So you are Kuroko.." I said. He nodded, "And your name is Kotoba." I also nodded. It soon got quite awkward between us.
Soon Amaya-sensei left the room to do some business.
"Why did you move here?" Kuroko suddenly asked me. My face paled at the sudden question. "I don't want to talk about it..." I said looking down at my desk.
"I see. It's okay you don't have to tell me Kotoba-san." He said sounding formal.
"Nana." I looked up to him and saw that he had a slight confused expression on his face.
"You can call me, Nana." He nodded, "Tetsuya." I slightly smiled at him as I felt like we had gotten closer. Then soon right after, Amaya-sensei came back into the classroom.
"Okay class, lets do an activity to get to know each other more. Please pick a partner."
I looked at Kuroko and he looked back at me. "Want to be my partner?" We both asked in unison. We stared at each other for a brief moment and started to laugh.
"Yes, I'll be your partner, Tetsuya-kun." He gave me a slight smile and we turned our attention back to Amaya-sensei.
"Ask simple questions about each other and when everyone is done, your partner will share stuff about you and vice-versa." We all nodded and I turned back to Kuroko.
"Okay, I'll ask first." Kuroko nodded.
"What's your favorite drink?"
"Vanilla milkshakes." My eyes widened, "Me too!" Kuroko smiled.
"What's your favorite color?"
"Blue, kind of like your hair color." I pointed at his hair. Kuroko nodded.
"When's your birthday?" I asked.
"January 31st, when's your birthday?" He threw the question back at me.
"December 31st, one month apart." I giggled. Kuroko slightly chuckled.
"Okay, is everyone done?" Amaya-sensei asked. "Yes." Everyone answered. Now it was time to share stuff that we learned about our partner. Amaya-sensei scanned around the room and her eyes stopped on me and Kuroko.
"Ah, Kuroko, Kotoba. Why don't you guys go first?" She smiled. I looked at Kuroko and he nodded gesturing me to start. I stood up from my seat and cleared my throat. I was really bad with talking in front of people.
I stared down at my desk and back up at Amaya-sensei trying to not look at my classmates.
"His favorite drink is vanilla milkshakes and his birthday is on January 31st." I said as fast as I can. Amaya-sensei nodded, "Is that all?" I nodded.
"Okay Kuroko, it's your turn."
Kuroko got up from his seat and he had his stoic expression on. "Her favorite drink is also vanilla milkshakes. Her favorite color is sky blue and her birthday is on December 31st." He said.
"Is that all?" Amaya-sensei asked.
"And she looks quite cute when she laughs." Kuroko added which made me blush. It also made Amaya-sensei blush. Everyone in the classroom were saying 'ooohh'.
I looked up at Kuroko and he gave me a slight smile as I blushed even a darker shade of red.
W-What is that suppose to mean?!
