Death. Most fear it, and it comes for us all eventually. The channel, Unus Annus, (meaning One Year) was made around that fact. All things must come to an end. And Death is always around the corner. So, given one year, they have shown us that you should take advantage of your time left.
Unus Annus is a channel that gained popularity for the humor and moral in each video. Their most popular is 'We Force James Charles to Run a Military Obstacle Course', one of my personal favorites and one of their funniest. Unus Annus has created a fun experience for many people, but has also given us lessons, things to think about, and the reminder of death. They remind us that, even though we try to slow the ever-ticking clock, death is inevitable. Time slips through our fingers as if grains of sand, and it will run out eventually.
Although improbable, many people have teamed up to stop the clock and save Unus Annus. They have found codes and messages in each video, telling the viewer about their efforts to stop the clock before time runs out. Now, with 13 days left and a worrisome video about the end, viewers and theorists have been left questioning if Unus Annus is something more than a public experiment.
Now, we have 13 days. People are stressing over the channel, but more specifically, the memories. When will Unus Annus be forgotten forever? Nothing lasts forever, even memories. 13 days to try to preserve 352 days of memories. How long will it take before Unus Annus is gone from everyone's memories? 5 years? 1? Videos we've formally watched are already erased from our thoughts. Videos you haven't watched, gone forever. In a way, those videos are already deleted. Even our favorite videos won't be remembered one day.
So, if you haven't shown a friend their channel, show them. Sit down with someone and watch a video or two. After all, 13 days isn't that long.
