Nico POV:
It was 4 am when my phone started to freak out. I turned it on and was greeted with ten missed calls and fifteen texts from Percy and Annabeth.
I groaned and decided to call Percy first. "What's going on at four in the morning that's so important?" I asked as a greeting. "Well... Piper showed up at my door around about a half hour ago and was bloody and naked being chased by octopus and Mr. Murder." "SHE WHAT?" I screamed not caring about my mom or Hazel at the moment. "If you want to see her she's awake and talking, we're at St. Joseph's teen trauma center." "I'll be right over." I curse under my breath as I ran down the stairs and towards my mom's room.
"MOM!" I screeched and she jumped awake. "What?" She seemed fully alert. "Something happened to Piper, I'm heading to the hospital." "Mhm be safe." She muttered. "Tell over protective lil sis I'm fine." "Ok."
I ran outside in the early morning light and jumped into my black '72 Impala.
I tossed my phone onto the console in front of me and started the engine.
Driving at four am to the hospital took about four minutes. I hastily parked and ran into the building.
The receptionist didn't even look up from her book. "Yes?" "Here to see Piper McLean." The woman nodded. "Down the hall last door to the left." I took off in the direction of her room.
"PERCY!" I basically screamed as I slid into the room. About five people shushed me. I slipped and fell into a chair and right on top of Reyna, our high school student council president, and friend of all. "Watch it!" She whisper-yelled at me. "Sorry!" I muttered, blushing. "What the hell happened?" Annabeth smacked me. "She hasn't been able to tell us much, she just passed out again. She's been in one surgery to temporarily fix the wound to her stomach though. I think they are going to pull her out for another surgery soon." Percy, still in blue sweatpants and a green t-shirt that was on inside out, said. A doctor came in whispered something to a beautiful woman-who I hadn't noticed sitting there-and wheeled Piper away. Someone must have seen my confused face because Reyna jumped to introductions. "Mrs. McLean meet Nico, Nico meet Mrs. McLean." I nodded and shook her hand. "Nice to meet you, I mean not in these circumstances but you understand." She nodded grimly.
